“De Vere Tortworth Court is a beautiful and unique mansion, completely surrounded by nature, built over 170 years ago. We came to visit the Cotswolds, and this accommodation worked out quite well (it is a 40 mins-1h drive from the main villages). Things I loved: All the shared areas are well kept and organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well as the bistro and the cocktail bar in the library room. “The hotel itself is excellent - great location and architecture. The cool atmosphere and aircon were welcoming on the hottest June day ever recorded in Cardiff! The facilities were great - including bedroom, bar and pool / spa. A couple of disappointments though. Guaranteed check-in from 3p.m. We arrived at 2.15 so went to the bar to wait. By 3.30 still no room, so after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing they eventually found us an upgrade. The breakfast - distinctly average for the price and...
