“The hotel is located in the village of Blockley, one of our favourite villages in the Cotswolds, as it is completely untouristy and truly charming. It is also very close to other villages, all easily reachable within 10–15 minutes by car. The hotel rooms are a bit dated, but the staff were extremely kind and even upgraded our room, giving us a very lovely and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast, ordered from the menu, was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay”

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I loved having multiple lounges and outdoor spaces to choose from. “I arrived just before 6pm to find my room wasn’t ready, so I waited in the bar. When I finally got in, the room was okay but lacked basic in‑room amenities—there were no cups or kettle, as these are kept in a separate kitchen, which was sparsely stocked. Although I knew the bathroom was shared, I was surprised there was no sink in the room.
