“Arriving in the charming village and then pulling up to Buckland Manor was a dream! Every detail has been seen to with lovely staff, well furnished rooms, gorgeous peaceful grounds. We could pop on many walking paths right from the door and roam the countryside. One wouldn't need to leave this property for days with every need met beautifully. Exquisite!”

“Pros: World class restaurant. Mussels were incredible. Breakfast was lovely and included. Friendly staff. Our room was quaint with historical fireplace, decorated beautifully. Location was convenient and free street parking was easy to find. Cons: Bed was extremely hard and lumpy. Pillows were flat. Neither of us slept well. We stayed in the executive room on the bottom floor. Dining tables were on the exterior walk of our room. Because there is no a/c windows needed to stay open, so...

“Cleaning staff excellent Bar staff excellent Front desk not good at all We were treated poorly as there was a wedding and got all the attention No A/C and temp was 90 degrees. Just got very small fan.”

“Stayed in the Moon Gazer gypsy caravan. It has ‘lived’ but is cute, quirky and the bed/bedding was lovely. Quiet and private with a bird song orchestra we had lovely weekend drinking locally brewed ale/cider and listening to local ‘turn up and play’ folk musicians. Superb weekend all round.”

“Owner was very responsive in bringing iron and hair dryer for us to use. (Hair dryer was dirty and smelled of wet dog—bring your own!). I bit small and funky but served our purpose. It was clean and owner was responsive. Easy check in but a bit tricky finding the place at first. Nice location for day trips and hikes.”

“Lovely Village location, and quaint accommodation. I stayed in one of the rooms round the corner from the pub. It was a ground floor room with large bathroom. Things to note: No contact details in the room for reception / pub staff (same thing) No Wi-Fi details - had to go to pub and wait until the barman was free to ask. Only just enough toilet roll for one night for one person (not going to the pub to ask out loud) No plugs near the kettle so had to plug it in on the floor by the door. Food...

“The hotel is located in the village of Blockley, one of our favourite villages in the Cotswolds, as it is completely untouristy and truly charming. It is also very close to other villages, all easily reachable within 10–15 minutes by car. The hotel rooms are a bit dated, but the staff were extremely kind and even upgraded our room, giving us a very lovely and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast, ordered from the menu, was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay”

“Welcome was lovely, room was really pretty with nice touches, pretty noisy though, you'll be lucky to get a solid nights sleep. Breakfast wasnt great either sadly. Overall though it was a lovely, pretty, welcoming hotel for a single night stay.”

“Staff were amazing, shout out to Rob in the bar, willing to go out of his way to provide excellent customer service. Friendly, knowledgeable and adaptable, creating a mocktail which was delicious and exactly what I had wanted. Unfortunately, these days, if something is not a quick fix then customer service often goes out of the window… not here! All staff were attentive and happy to acknowledge requests when necessary. “We only stayed one night and in the June Heat wave , our room no3 was very very hot ,it had a ceiling fan but didn't cool down the room , we asked for another fan which they gave us but still the bedroom was too warm for comfort , this was all due to the heatwave ,not the Inn's fault. Bed was comfortable enough, but a shared bathroom just down the landing ,also a shared kitchen, no cutlery and not a lot of milk in the fridge. None of this really bothered us a lot as only an overnight stay, but...
