Hotel vicino a Brockhole - The Lake District Visitor Centre - Windermere

“Stayed two nights. Very nice hotel with welcoming staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Could have been an even better experience...although a quiet and spacious room, avoid room 19 unless you are aware this room has very little natural light as that is blocked out by structures at the back of the hotel. Little light and no view is not ideal. Advised by staff to book directly with hotel next time if wanting to avoid that sort of misunderstanding!”

“Beautiful views of Lake Windermere. Lovely old fashioned hunting lodge. Lovely big room and bathroom with separate shower and bath.Breakfast was chosen from a menu but took quite some time for order to be taken and meal to be served. Cocktails in the bar are a MUST. ”

“Stayed at Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa for 3 nights and honestly… the thermal journey is the only reason I’d come back. Rooms are pretty meh—dated and not the cleanest. We were in room 166 and there were visible spill stains on the wall (not great), but it did have incredible lake views. It was also super convenient being so close to the elevator to take you to the spa. Read the fine print: access to the main pool (with infrared sauna + eucalyptus steam) is limited to 2.5 hours. Family time is...

“Had a great family break. Lodge was spotless and in a great location. We all enjoyed our stay and would book again without a second thought. ”

“Nice place, right time of the year. Cabin and hot tub were excellent. The shared pool leaves a little to be desired for young kids. Especially those who may not be confident in the water. I would go back and stay in Lodge 15 Langsdale again. Short trips in the car gave great views of the area and loads to do. ”

“The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. ”

“Constant battle to get anything sorted. Sykes holiday cottage agents said no pets in contract after advertising as with pets. Photos made look spacious but crab walk into rooms as tiny. Friday morning not even the water was working so left early. Cleaner said it was typical of the holiday park. ”
