“Without hyperbole, this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The view out the back of the building—the Wye twisting into the West, flanked by lush green hills—is jaw-dropping. I couldn’t believe it. I took dozens of pictures at different times of day, wanting my loved ones back home to see what I was seeing, but of course, the pics didn’t do the view justice. The guesthouse is also a short drive into Hay, where the walk along the river is lovely, and the bookshops are really fun...

“Excellent stay at the Harp Inn. Excellent food. Clean. Its a pub/inn so you need to expect some noise until they close for the night. I was above the bar and noise was quite muffled still. ”

Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring.

“Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful .
Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater .
Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side.
