COSY QUALITY TWO STORAGE HOLIDAY FLAT

Charming two storey house apartment in a restored seventeenth century house.
This retreat was recently officialy licensed as a **** holiday house by the flemish tourist board.

High degree of home feeling assured through the use of quality construction materials and selective furniture pieces in a picturesque setting.
All house comfort with laundry cleaning facilities in the basement and well equipped open kitchen. Refreshing corner with shower cabin on the first floor and nice bathroom with bath on the upper floor. Nice small roof terrace.

The Master bedroom is quite spacious and has a beautiful beam ceiling all the way in the saddle roof top. The second bedroom has a small dressing under the japanese staircase that leads to a mezzanine under the saddle roof top where you can find a large double bed . Please note that this bedroom is very cosy but has a completely different setting then the master bedroom. It is very much loved by children and young people although being used all the time by grown-ups also. For elderly it might be a bit more difficult in use.

The house is located at two steps of the canals and a three minute walk from the market square. This dwelling ensures an unforgettable short stay or holiday period.

  • The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Bruges, Belgium. Originally built in the 12th century as the chapel of the residence of the Count of Flanders, the church houses a venerated relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders. Built between 1134 and 1157, it was promoted to minor basilica in 1923. The 12th-century basilica is located in the Burg square and consists of a lower and upper chapel. The lower chapel dedicated to St. Basil the Great is a dark Romanesque structure that remains virtually unchanged. The venerated relic is in the upper chapel, which was rebuilt in the Gothic style during the 16th century and renovated multiple times during the 19th century in Gothic Revival style. Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium, in the northwest of the country. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, such as Amsterdam, it is sometimes referred to as The Venice of the North. Bruges has a significant economic importance thanks to its port and was once one of the world's chief commercial cities. It’s perfect. From booking to departure… our expectations were exceeded. Alex communicated quickly and graciously before we arrived and made us feel welcome. The flat itself is beautiful, and home-y at the same time. Nicely designed and comfortable, it lives larger than the photos indicate. The open format living space downstairs offers modern comfort in a historic building. The main bedroom is dramatic; other bedroom areas are cozy and charming. The kitchen is fully supplied and large enough for two people to putter about. The location in Bruges can’t be beat. Close to the action, but far enough from the tourist crowds to feel private and quiet. It felt like coming home.

A lovely home, well appointed with everything you need. Close to so much in Bruges. 30 min walk from the train should you chose. And Alex, who is a wonderful source for all things Bruges from history to restaurants, is a very welcoming host.

The location of this apartment is perfect. It’s close to the center, yet calm and quiet. It is spacious and comfortable. It’s nice to have a bathroom on both floors. The second floor bathroom is especially attractive. Alex met us and carried our luggage upstairs, which was kind.

Bel appartement, bien décoré, localisation parfaite pour visiter Bruge. Très près de tout en étant un peu en retrait de l’animation. Tout le nécessaire pour faire la cuisine. Place de parking près du logement hyper pratique. Hôte aidant et très sympathique. Un petit bémol concernant la petite chambre à l’étage, le matelas du lit vraiment pas pour un adulte. On recommande sans hésitation. On y retournerait.

What a great place! Centrally located, but at the same time very quiet street. Five minute walk to The Burg and a few more minutes to The Markt. Alex was great and very informative. There is a little store about five minutes away across from the park and a delicatessen and a bagel shop literally right around the corner. Will be staying there again in December 2025 and looking forward to the next visit.

We had a lovely stay and highly recommend this property. The flat is beautiful and very well appointed. The location is perfect– close to the main square and 20 minutes walk to train station, but outside the really touristy areas, so it is quiet and relaxing. Alex was a great host– he welcomed us when we arrived and gave us some excellent suggestions for our seven day stay in Bruges. We truly enjoyed our stay and Casa Michelangelo. We would stay here again for sure.

Alex's home is beautiful. The bed is comfortable and is well appointed. It was so nice having a washer and dryer in the home. The location is great. Alex provided us with lots of information bout where to go in Bruges. I would highly recommend this home.

Perfect location! We would definitely go back. Comfortable place with a good kitchen and sweet little rooftop area. Very nice and helpful landlord. We loved each of his suggestions. The second bedroom is an attic room, one extra short stairway up. Not a problem for us at all. Just if you have someone who has trouble with stairs. We loved the house & would definitely go back.

Perfect Bruges Apartment

Alex's place was wonderful, and he was such a gracious host. The building is hundreds of years old but has been made modern and efficient without losing any charm. It's on a quiet street in walking distance of everything. Perfect spot to spend a few days in this wonderful city.

Lovely, well situated and well appointed house near the center of town.

We loved this house for our family of five. There was room for everyone, two bathrooms, laundry facilities on site and a full kitchen. The house was lovely - beautiful decorations and comfortable furniture. Alex was responsive and accommodated our need to drop off bags early and leave them a little beyond checkout time. I would definitely return!

A lovely apartment with lots of character. It has everything you need, and is in a central location. The owner is very helpful. We had a great stay - it is one of our favourite properties on Stayz so far.

Wonderful location if you don’t drive

The home was wonderful and we loved the location for walking, however both Google maps and Apple Maps seemed jumbled when it came to finding a way to the house that cars can go through. Once we figured it out and got parked it was AMAZING!! The host was very kind and helpful and we had a wonderful time going out and then being close enough to warm up and eat then head back out for the beautiful Christmas lights!
