“Have biked for a day, nothing better than a cup of tea and a hot shower. There was no kettle until one was produced after an hour and the shower remained cold during all our stay! We also looked forward to a nice evening meal but owing to a large golfing party present it apparently was impossible to find a table for 2 and the nearest hotel / restaurant was closed due to a function. This necessitated a long walk to find an evening meal!”

“La cena ottima, colazione scozzese su prenotazione. Nell'insieme mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio soprattutto in camera. Nel bagno un unico lumicino con luce scarsissima. In compenso la Manager, italiana, è simpaticissima e disponibile per soddisfare le richieste.”

Spacious, clean room, adorned with antiques & thoughtful details to make your stay more comfortable & enjoyable: coffee/cream/sugar set with scones/ GF biscuit, butter & jam upon arrival, chocolates not only in your room but in candy dishes on the stair landings, Epsom salts for the soaker tub, a few stairs but they will help carry luggage if you need it. Incredible breakfast-hot, made to order by your host. Absolutely delicious, served on fine china in the cozy...

“Had a very comfortable stay at Smiddy Haugh. Very clean and comfortable room with nice toiletries in bathroom. Owners were very welcoming and made us aware of all relevant information, I.e. heating, dining, check out, car parking. We had a delicious breakfast and would certainly recommend and visit again.”

“Abbiamo avuto problemi con l’auto e siamo arrivati in hotel molto tardi. La cucina era chiusa ma ci hanno fatto accomodare e ci hanno offerto toast e birra dato che non avevamo cenato ed eravamo stanchi. Questa mattina ci hanno aiutato con l’auto. Camera spaziosa e bellissima vista sul fiume. Colazione abbondante e personale molto gentile. Non posso che dire: ottimo! Ci tornerei”

“Fabulous well appointed lodge in a gorgeous location , everything you could possibly need for a truly relaxing stay. Buffet Breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the 3 course inclusive dinner menu was fantastic and delicious . Staff were welcoming and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A welcome pack was left for us which was a lovely surprise ! A short drive to Gleneagles and Auchterarder , which were delightful and a great base to explore further afield. We will surely return.”

“It is a wonderful, small hotel! Clean, comfortable, updated rooms with everything you need. Breakfast is included, providing lots of choices, and it is very, very good. It is on the main road, so easy to get to by bus or car and has parking if you need it. June, the owner, is very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Plus she has an awesome sense of humour! I enjoyed my stay very much and I would highly recommend it!”

“I arrived a bit early. Nobody wS there, save a sign and two phone numbers to call. I reached someone, and was asked to wait a few minutes. A bit later, i checked in. Bags were carried for me. and i was shown how the electric worked. A nice touch was the cooked to order complimentary breakfast the next morning. Save for those first few minutes, my stay was fine.”
