“What stood out most was how the receptionist and housekeeping staff went above and beyond after we had checked out. I became ill and returned to the hotel 30 minutes after checking out allowing me to return to my original room for an hour to recuperate I was then provided with essentials for my home trip. The service was exemplary throughout our stay and we would definitely return and recommend ”

“What a beautiful village and setting. The old white hart is a wonderful building, original features with tastefully done modern twists. Our double bath was more like a small pool, truly truly spacious. We loved it! ”

“Had a lovely stay here the room was fabulous the bed was so comfy we stayed in the wild horse room it had a huge bathroom with bath and walk in shower and the toilet was separated from the bathroom the staff are friendly and nothings to much trouble Great little touches like fresh milk and homemade cookies which were delicious ”

“Amazing hotel in all regards. Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely area, nice walks nearby, great hotel rooms and restaurants. Clean, very nicely furnished. Superb service from staff. Great food in the Hancock Kitchen (less formal of the 2 restaurants) - didn’t eat at the more formal one. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for many many years. Encourage anyone to visit.”

We dined in the evening and breakfasted the following morning. The food was good and service efficient, friendly and courteous. Our room was warm and clean and the bed very comfortable. What more do you need from a hotel? We will definitely stay should we go back to the area.”
