“We visited during the low season, so the resort was quiet and it often felt like we had the island to ourselves. We had a private pool with our room, although we did not use it much as the resort was quiet and the main pool was enjoyable.
The private pool itself was nice, although there were some areas that could benefit from maintenance. For example, the handrail showed some rust, and some of the nails on the outdoor floorboards appeared to need securing and were also slightly rusty.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The air-conditioned room was a great plus, and the breakfast was delicious with a good selection. “Airport Shuttle was 250php and was pretty good value considering the alternatives. Skylodge hotel was ok. The rooms are minimal and the bar/kitchen areas were sometimes not manned. The staff I met were nice as is typical in the Philippines. Nice view but the walk up the hill was a turn off. Worth the money? If it you have left it late to book and all kithrt hotels sre full then sure. ”
“Do not mistake the Express part of the resort for the Gardens part. Our Express room did not have a refrigerator, or even a kettle. It was of poor grade. The room kept falling apart. Even getting thru the resort to the Express building is difficult. The entire resort closed it's dining room for all lunch and dinner. The staff are friendly. No restraunts nor stores within walking distance.”
