For a 2–3 day stay at 20 Esplanade, Innes Park, the best places to focus on are Innes Park Reserve and Barolin Rocks for relaxing by the water, rock pools, snorkelling and marine life, followed by Coral Cove and Bargara for scenic coastal walks, beaches and The Basin, a sheltered swimming and snorkelling area. A day should definitely be set aside for Mon Repos Conservation Park and Turtle Centre, particularly from November to March when turtle nesting and hatching experiences are available. Elliott Heads is another excellent half-day trip for its white-sand beach, blue water, rock pools and water activities. For a change of scenery, spend part of a day in Bundaberg visiting the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, Bundaberg Botanic Gardens, Hinkler attractions and local cafés.
