Very sorry to read your review, we wonder if you may have in fact confused your stay with somewhere else recently. Very confused how the doorstep of the Southern Great Barrier Reef in the town of Bargara is run down & neglected? We are very thankful of council for the picturesque foreshore pathways, green areas, playgrounds and beaches. Numerous Coffee shops, clothing stores and eateries are within walking distance. As a highly ranked property with the Expedia Group, top 1% worldwide with Trip Advisor and Best of Queensland recognition we are also at a loss how the property is in need of maintenance.It’s unfortunate that you will have confused future guests with a review that is clearly irrelevant and not representative of Bargara or the property.

Thanks for your review. Just to clarify you weren't told about the air- conditioner on the day of arrival which yes you should of been. It was the next day when you came down and reported it. We tried to explain to you that it had been taken out by an electrical storm which you then just started to walk out and not listen and it has been so hard to get trades to replace it which it is being done this week. Regards to behind the couch and beds it was taken up with housekeeping and rectified immediately. With the lift mats they have just been change over as they hadn't been done due the amount of rain that we have had.

Sorry but we are not sure what you mean about signs as there is one in each apartment to ask to leave the apartment in a tidy manner and the rest is building signs eg No smoking as it is a no smoking complex. Over the long weekend our office was opened everyday until midday and we were contactable 24/7 which was also in your check-in paperwork that you were provided. It was reduced hours for the long weekend but we were contactable 24/7. If you had of contacted us we would of had the toilet set look at immediately. We hope to speak to you for a return stay.

Hi Colleen,Thanks for your feedback however a little disappointing and not providing other guests with a true representation of issues, as you state these were across two apartments and didn't mention our actions correctly.The Penthouse that had the issue with smoke alarms - this Penthouse has just been fully repainted and had the new Queensland "one goes off they all go off" Smoke Alarms installed. It has a brand new super sized smart TV, latest Resort Foxtel system, a brand new King Bed mattress & Base and two brand new timber sun lounges. We clearly indicate to guests that if you have any issues not to hesitate contacting reception for assistance and we would have happily attended at any of the three times the smoke alarms went into alarm to as least isolate the one causing the others to go off. As you indicated the moment you contacted us the next day and made us aware of a possible problem we apologised and advised we would get trades to attend asap who found one of the new alarms had a fault and was rectified. So we strongly disagree with any reference to this apartment about updating and it is unfair to rank it as 6 out of 10. The other Penthouse Apartment at the opposite end of the building unfortunately did have a failed Air Conditioning/Heating system which we advised and apologised before you arrived and you had no issue. Given its winter, not that we really get a winter, we did provide a large panel space heater and fan heaters for you to utilise if required for warmth.The unexpected failure of an Air Conditioning system at any time doesn't relate to "Needs updating" and doesn't deserve a 6 out of 10. Its unfortunate that your review doesn't detail the discussions and issues correctly and also provides a false representation of the apartments.
