I rarely leave reviews, but our experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing and deserves to be addressed. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not a priority. The room was noticeably dirty, several items were broken, and the overall condition made us question whether the space had been properly cleaned or maintained at all.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with oddly shaped pillows that offered no support, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Compounding the issue was the location of our room — right next to the elevator — which meant we were constantly disturbed by mechanical noises throughout the night. On top of that, the air conditioning unit made an ongoing mechanical hum that added to the sleepless environment.
We had hoped to find some comfort downstairs at Lilly May’s Cafe, only to discover that their espresso machine was out of order for the entire duration of our stay — something that’s simply unacceptable for any full-service hotel, let alone a Hilton.
The only redeeming factor is the location, which is within walking distance to the marketplace and Lake Champlain. Unfortunately, the condition of the property overshadowed any convenience. The lack of upkeep, attention to detail, and basic hospitality made the place feel neglected and frankly unsafe. Hilton should be embarrassed to have their name on this property.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone until serious improvements
