This delightful bright and airy, newly remodeled cottage has a partial view of Saratoga Passage. It has a short walk, or very short drive to the beach, whether to watch sunsets, hunt for agates while beachcombing, or enjoy water activities like boating, crabbing, kyaking, watching auroras or the stars at night. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and sunrises from the many beaches on the island, and hiking through the rich landscape of the many Camano parks, each with their own unique character and easily reached. Recreational boating, and boating tours or renting kyaks is available, including whale and seal sightings.
This cottage is beautifully furnished with 2 bedrooms and one bath, and for remote workers an office with a printer and full pull out bed. Madrona is a small community on Camano, which has a beach on the west side of Camano Island. No ferry needed, it is only 20min to I-5, Madrona Beach is only 4 min away from the cottage whether walking or driving. You can see the water and sunsets through the trees, listening to the symphony of birdsong.
Vacation rental is available June 18 through Oct 31. Summer rates are available for a short stay, weekly or monthly. (There is a reduced rate for monthly in the summer.) Monthly rental available at 2899 per month through November 1, 2026 to June 1, 2027. Parking available for 5 cars on lot. Stocked with all necessities for cooking and comfort. Comfortable living includes gas fireplace and full house electric zone heating for cold weather. Outdoor wrap around deck and yard with barbeque. Wonderful grocery with French bakery only 4 miles away. Grocery with restaurants about 3 miles away with a neighboring golf course. A full range of restaurants are nearby. A library, with many delious restaurants, Camano Coffee Roasters and a delicious French bakery, are all in the Terry's Corner complex as you come into the island on 532 from I5. The island has many public hiking trails in many parks, a state park with camping, as well as public beaches, each with their own personality whether they are sand or rocky beaches. Walk historic Madrona where the streets are narrow and very walkable, quaint with historic log cabins, gardens and beautiful homes. Madrona was the first campground on Camano, built in 1907.
Kitchen has a double oven stove, vitamix, Kitchenaid mixer, cast iron bread pan, all other necessary appliances and dishes as well as much storage space. Full washer and dryer on site as well as an iron and board. Library with a variety of possible interests, including childrens books. Games for adults and chidren are available in the home as well. Full bathroom is designed for a calm restorative experience.
Grounds include a carport, a yard, and deep driveway for childrens activities. Located in subdivision of large beautiful homes who have an edge of a deep rich forest on one side of the homes, and the Saratoga Passage across the street- sunsets and water seen through a light sprinkle of forest trees which enhances the water view. And of course, I can't forget Betty, our resident handicapped deer, who brought by her very young twin fawns just the other day for us to meet. She is the only deer I will allow to eat my flowers. :)
