“Very comfortable bed and linens. Bathroom towels very thin. Appreciated the quaint elevator. Main draw back is the food… Over priced. $50 for small bowl of chowder, fish and chips and a beer. Limited beer choice. French fries were soggy and tasteless. Chowder very disappointing for Newfoundland. Tiny cubed pieces of mostly potato and onion - served lukewarm. Many menu items not available. Breakfast ok. Ordered eggs and bacon without hash browns but was given the hashbrowns beacause it...

All along the walls the baseboards were full of dust and there was a 1/2 line of dust all along the edge where the vacuum cleaner doesn't reach. In the bathroom the bottom shelf and the wall between the vanity was dust balls and dust webs. The walls haven't been cleaned in ages. While the rest of the hotel appeared clean, modern and spacious, the room was a disappointment. ”
