“I have stayed at numerous places over the years, from luxury hotels in Vegas to seedy rooms above a bar, and the Evergreen is honestly the first motel where I felt like I was coming home. It may have a few years on it, but our room was absolutely clean, homey, and welcoming. The TV was on and playing restful music when we entered, there are real (and healthy!) plants around the room, and thoughtful touches everywhere - including a long shoe-horn and an emergency umbrella! “Cute place to stay to start a Cape Breton Tour. We overnighted here before a golf trip at Cabot Links. Our chalet was very functional and cozy. The dinner and live music were excellent and fun! Check out was slow and inconvenient- staff have multiple duties that slowed things down.”
