“It’s was very unclean”

“The owners were very hospitable & accommodating, making the Inn feel more like staying at a friend's place than at a hotel. We would definitely comeback to Hammondsport & to the Vinehurst Inn! We miss it already.”

“Inn is beautiful and historic. Inn and all rooms were clean, nicely decorated with natural and historic scenes. The bathroom was spacious with soft and plush towels. Dining area lovely with long wooden table. Chef was very nice and her breakfast was excellent and tastefully laid out. Hope to return for a longer stay in the future.”

“This facility is definitely not worthy of their 6.8 rating. The first room we were given was more like a dungeon. We asked for a renovated room and were moved to one. Unfortunately we didn’t have any hot water. After much discussion, we decided to leave and go elsewhere. We were charged for one night and refunded for the other nights. This is an older roadside hotel that needs much love. (Read between the lines.)”

“I’m not sure how this hotel received such great ratings on cleanliness. I suspect they are not real ratings. The bathroom is gross. The shower pan is dirty and stained. There is hair and gunk in the corners of the bathroom. The shelves are dusty. The carpet is stained. The front desk staff is far from professional. We were greeted by someone wearing a t-shirt. I was “schooled” on booking through Expedia. I was complimented on my nails. And then, later another woman got the same compliment. The...

“After reserving a room online, I arrived at 7 p.m. The room was not ready and I was unable to access until 8 p.m. The room was OK but it was easy to hear the people in the hallway as well as in the room above. Not a very restful stop after a long drive.”
