“The Barns Hotel is a great place to stay. Staff are very accommodating and friendly, room was comfortable and clean and there is free parking. The restaurant served reasonably priced food and the breakfast was lovely. The manager kept the bar open until we had all returned from a local festival. We would stay here again in the future 😁 ”

“Lovely accommodation attached to a pub. Pub served a good selection of drinks and a decent menu for main meals or light bites. Breakfast was lovely, again with a decent selection. Staff were all lovely. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. ”

“We stayed at the Moat House on our way up north and again on our way back south. Both times were a great experience. The rooms are very comfortable with good showers - all our requests were catered to. My husband left his electric shaver behind and they are sending it back to us. We were not looking for formal dining in the main restaurant and The Bar Lounge menu turned out to be very good - special mention on the Mackerel Rillettes starter!! “We stayed recently for 2 nights as a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby). The room was small but comfortable and had all the amenities we required. The breakfast was delicious with a great range of food choices. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel location was good and easy to find. Plenty of parking spaces outside. ”

“I strongly disagree with a a method of rating that rates 8-10 as good to excellent and 1-7 as poor. Think of your staff and how you can make their experience and expectations better over customers who will stay 1-2 nights and can complain about the thing and it’s probably been the best sleep and breakfast they’ve had in a long time. Think about your staff in the strange rating culture that we live in, please!”

“Nice, clean with a nice local pub right across the courtyard. Very handy. However the pub is only open limited hours and no where else to eat within walking distance except a fish n chips joint. We stayed in apartment 3. Suited our family of 4 well, but note there is no mini fridge or micro that a family might hope for. Walls are thin too but not a big deal. ”
