    Tucked away in a quiet residential community in mid-town Cannon Beach, this rental is about a block from the sandy beach for beachcombing and kite flying and Haystack Rock for tide pooling. The town's bustling business district is a short walk away for antique shops, upscale boutiques, local pubs, and other eateries. Other activities include hiking and whale watching.

Landscaping and cutting the hedge noise was a bit too much and the blown the dirt and grass cutting inside our room thru under entry door.

When we arrived for our check in time at 4pm the door was open and the unit was filthy. We were told it would be a couple hours before we could get in after an 8 hour drive. The cottage was about as nice as the worst Motel 6 I’ve stayed at. Hair stuck all over the shower walls and sink. Black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The floor in the cottage was so uneven in the kitchen/eating area that if you suffer from any imbalance issues, you will probably fall over. The TV was a 13” computer monitor and the “couch” or whatever it was had springs jamming into you. Pretty much the worst vacation we’ve had in 20 years. Don’t waste your time or money.

What we loved most was the easy access to the beach, as well as being in walking distance to nearby shops. Parking was easy! Upon check-in we could see that the photos of the home were taken a long time ago. Between rusted shower trays, old window hinges, creaky bed frame and having no spoons in the kitchen silverware. It was comfortable, but definitely needs some mild maintenance and upkeep.It can get warm inside the home, but cracking all the windows helps!(: If you’re staying on a hotter day, we suggest you bring your own box fan to keep cool at the standard temp inside was 76 degrees. If you plan to cook your own meals, supply your own cooking utensils, all they had was a spatula and a soup ladle (knives, peeler, forks, butter knives, cutting boards as well) Pots and pans were of decent variety! We would absolutely stay here again if we planned to eat out more, but for the cost, we expected slightly more than we got.
