Spacious retreat on the Rim of the Royal Gorge

  • This cozy retreat is perched on the rim of the Royal Gorge, overlooking America's highest suspension bridge. Watch the sunset over the Sangre de Cristo mountains from this 1,500 square foot house positioned high above the Arkansas River.

    Your group or family can spread out in the three bedrooms, two baths, and enjoy the large fireplace, panoramic views, open dining area, and secluded outdoor patio. A full kitchen is at your disposal with included spices, coffee, tea and sugar. A propane BBQ grill is available right outside the kitchen door.

    Guest access
    The lodge is located outside of the Bridge attraction so guests are free to come and go as they please.
    Check-in is inside the Visitor Center.
    Guests receive free admission to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park during their stay.
    After hours check-in is at the Ranger post at the North end of the Visitor Center.

    Extensive hiking and biking trails are a short walk from the house. There is ample parking.

    Dogs are welcome. Pet fee applies if you have more than 2.
    Do not leave dogs unattended inside or outside the house. Be aware that the area has cactus!
    Please pick up and dispose of waste.

    Wifi is available, however this is a remote location and some US carriers do not have sufficient coverage is this area. AT&T and Verizon work best here. Other carriers, specifically T-Mobile, do not.

The entire property was great! Kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked, and pictures do not do it justice when you look out the windows and see the magnificent beauty of God’s creation. WOW!Gail was AMAZING, very quick to respond to any questions that I had and just as pleasurable to meet in person.We would recommend this lodge 100 x over!!!

Amazing stay! The cabin's setting cannot be beat and the views are simply breathtaking. As well, the interior of the cabin is warm and inviting. Well stocked kitchen. Fabulous large fireplace. And pet friendly. Management was always available and wonderful to work with. Highly recommend and will be returning for sure.

Do not hesitate for 1 second, rent this property! You will not find more breathtaking views, from all vantage points. You can walk right down the driveway, and into the Royal Gorge Park. The house is actually massive - so much room to spread out and enjoy the views. I’ve stayed in over 40 rentals, in all sorts of environments, hands down, this is the best. Black bears were roaming (momma and cubs), and one night a herd of about 30-40 rams were grazing on the hillside, just on the other side of the driveway.

This was one of the best stays I have ever had. The views, the cabin, the access to the park. This is the perfect getaway. This felt like a home, a beautiful log cabin with everything you could need. Very clean and plenty of room

1st time we've booked this cabin was 14 yrs ago. We've stayed multiple times and had invited friends and family through the years. Grand View of Gorge all around. Always clean all throughout. We always enjoy walking to the Rim Trail and taking sunset pictures. If you are planning to visit Royal Gorge, stay a day or two or more in this cabin, your trip will be 10x memorable. They offer free tickets to the bridge the day of check in until the day of checkout so it is really a great deal esp if you're planning to do all the activities around the area.

The property is just as advertised. Such a cool experience to stay in this incredibly unique property. We woke up to bighorn sheep every morning and the sunsets were beautiful! Great dog friendly property and my 10 year old absolutely loved the “coziness.” I personally don’t love gas fireplaces, but “wow,” they nailed it!!! Super cool!!! We will be back!

What a wonderful location. Could not have been more relaxing. Accommodations were better than advertised. Staff at the Gorge were very helpful (and the food at the cafe was really good). Recommend going offseason. We had the whole canyon to ourselves, except for the deer we said hi to every morning out our front door.

Indescribable Views

Rim of Royal Gorge home is amazing! We are an active family, and we could sit and look at the incredible view, out the windows and sitting in the chairs in the deck, all day long! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen. Loved the peacefulness and ability to hike from the property. Got out of my comfort zone and experienced the bridge walk and gondola. Was super excited to see a ringtail! Appreciated the cleanliness.

Amazing!

Everything was amazing. The property is stunning! A minor hiccup at check-in and the host was immediately responsive and rectified it! We stay at a LOT of VRBOs and this one ranks up with the best! Communication, cleanliness, LOCATION - all perfect!
