“The staff was amazing. All of them were very professional and accommodating. The hotel itself was beautiful and luxurious as advertised. We had a pleasant stay. The only complaint I could think of is that the motel behind it is extremely ghetto and unsafe to walk by but that isn’t even in The Renaissance’s control, it’s more of an unfortunate circumstance. That being said I absolutely would recommend staying at the Renaissance and would 100% return to stay for future vacations in Denver.”

“Loved this historic grand old hotel that just exudes turn of the century charm and grandeur…not the 20th century, the 19th. It is like a snapshot of the history of the west with short walking distance to the historic Glenwood Springs Hot Springs and the Yumpah Vapor Caves. The main restaurant was also excellent. It was a favorite of Teddy Roosevelt, who visited often when the urge to shoot something with fur struck him. The best word I can think of to describe the Hotel Colorado is, authentic. ”

“Absolutely too notch casino and resort. Sparkling clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff. Casino are was a lot of fun. Breakfast was a 10: eggs very fresh and flavorable. Bacon cooked perfectly; sourdough toast, yum.”

“The Ameristar Black Hawk is a great place to stay whether you plan to gamble or not. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Not sure how they were able to build it in the middle of the mountains. Large parking garage connected to the hotel and multiple restaurants onsite. We stayed one night on our way from Idaho Springs to Estes Park.”

“This ia such a beautiful place. The room was way nicer than the pictures (usually the other way, huh?) The room was extremely clean, spacious, and had amazing mountain view! The staff were very kind. The hotel restaurant was even great. We ordered elk stake, which is hard to cool right, was very delicious. The best part was the jacuzzi with the magnificent mountain and night view. I'd come back to this hotel again. ”

“We stayed one night for an event downtown and I didn't want to spend several hundred dollars. This is perfectly adequate. The sheets smelled of bleach, so I know they were clean. It's a typical motel room. The low price is because it's incredibly dated, worn. If a Super 8 is as low in the food chain as you will go then this place is not for you. We saw something super cool in this place. Echos of a glamorous past. We hope the owner renovates. ”
