Questo casolare indipendente di Grado II, restaurato con cura, con timpani fiamminghi si trova vicino alla casa dei proprietari in cima a una stradina di campagna, in una fattoria di 21 acri composta da frutteti. Molte caratteristiche originali rimangono - e con ampie porte, camera da letto al piano terra e bagno, è possibile l'accesso con sedia a rotelle. Il villaggio di Preston-next-Wingham è a un miglio di distanza e ci sono passeggiate attraverso i frutteti per unirsi al Saxon Shore Way. Canterbury è raggiungibile in 20 minuti di auto. Whitstable e Dover per i viaggi in Francia sono facilmente accessibili. Golf a livello locale. Sandwich, a 15 minuti di auto. Negozio e pub 1 miglio.

    Questa proprietà ora ha un sedile per doccia con corrimano e braccioli attorno al water. C'è un fiume vicino alla proprietà. Questa proprietà si trova in una fattoria in attività, pertanto gli animali domestici devono essere tenuti al guinzaglio e i bambini devono essere sorvegliati in ogni momento. Solo un cane.

Charming little spot

Great location, easy to get to Canterbury, Margate and Dover. Wonderful historical building, with a host who helped us when we got lost (😂 it was way easier than we made it seem!) as well as giving the goods in regards to their pub recommendation. We had an amazing meal! Also helpful, kind hearted touchea such as washing pods, a teapot AND a kettle to brew a tea as you wonder at the view.

Had a wonderful break.

Had a wonderful break. Amenities were very good. Cleanliness excellent. Granny came with us so the downstairs room and bathroom were ideal for her. She did say that unfortunately the mattress downstairs was uncomfortable. Otherwise it was an ideal setting. Enjoyed the apple orchards and The wildlife. Owners very friendly and helpful. Can reach many places for days out, food etc, whilst retreating to the peace and quiet, and clear night skies. Would definitely recommend and hope to return. Lovely cottage, quiet, spacious and ideally situated for exploring Kent. The owners are friendly and helpful, and have supplied all the necessities. Had lovely local apple juice and shortbread waiting for us when we arrived. Only downside is there is only one bathroom which is downstairs, which is a bit of a pain as 4 people of the 6 sleep upstairs

This is the 6th time I have stayed at Hawthorne cottage.

This is the 6th time I have stayed at Hawthorne cottage. Each year, myself and another carer bring 2 adults with disabilities on holiday here. It’s a beautiful cottage completely away from roads or other people with orchards to walk around. The cottage is comfortable and we always enjoy our time here.

We stayed the last week in May and had the most amazing time.

We stayed the last week in May and had the most amazing time. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. The cottage had everything you could want, and the location was fantastic. The outside space thats allocated with the cottage was fantastic we played for hours outside. The location is perfect for the beach, Canterbury Castle, wildlife park etc etc. There are 2 local pubs/restaurants minutes from the cottage and the owners were so nice (The Rising Sun and The Dog and Duck, the food was delicious. The best thing was the quiet, its so peaceful. We would highly recommend Hawthorne Cottage.
