  • Welcome to Whippoorwill Hill on the fun and refreshing Guadalupe River!

    Originally constructed in the early 1900's Whippoorwill Hill is an updated Hill Country Gem. The home is one of the few available waterfront vacation homes on the Guadalupe River that is located upstream from the tubing and rafting crowds downstream. Guests to this home are conveniently close to all the action, yet on a peaceful stretch of riverfront, complete with a large, shaded backyard. The Guadalupe River behind the home boasts of a unique river area with light rapids and spacious riverbanks- perfect for fishing, wading, floating, or bringing your kids along to splash and play!

Perfect spot on the river. Nice sitting area down by the river and river was perfect for kids to play in and adults to sit in.We brought tubes and walked up the river and floated down over and over. Nice back porch to sit on and enjoy the river view.House was perfect and nice. Great location close to food and we even went to fimfo one afternoon to do the alpine coaster. We will come back and stay here…it’s literally perfect

Just couldn't be better

What a lovely home right on the river. Super nice inside, great kitchen fully ready for family meals and then there is the back porch to relax on, fireflies to watch and the river to sit by. We will be back many times I am sure

Peaceful and relaxing home that has ample amenities

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time on the river this home has plenty of space, comfortable beds and wonderful outdoor space we'll gladly return to this property

Great location and the bedrooms were nice. Really enjoyed the kitchen space. Was beautiful in the fall and would be fabulous during warmer weather. The place was clean but a little dusty- that's our only critique!

Ideal spot

The location is the best we have stayed on the river so far. People do come to the public side of the river but the area is large enough to share.

Relaxing stay

We will be back! The view and the location are perfect. Great view from inside too. One of the bedrooms and the dining room overlook the river. The home is spacious and has everything you need.

Wonderful Weekend

Perfect little house at a great location on the river. Spent the day floating in front and relaxing while the teens went to Schlitterbahn. House is clean and well equipped in the kitchen. Firepit was perfect for S'mores.

Beautiful and Peaceful

This place was exactly what my family was looking for. It was well maintained and had everything we needed. It was so beautiful to wake up every morning looking at the river in the back yard. Will return as soon as we can.

Loved it!

The house was so nice! We appreciated the modern comforts mixed with old charm. We had everything we needed and the property manager was quick to assist when we couldn't get the heater to come on. Beautiful river views and easy access made it the perfect spot for us. We caught trout everyday. Definitely recommend.
