After more than 30 years this historical Villa, situated in the small village of Gragnano on the beautiful hillside of Lucca, has been renovated following highest standards, using only ecological materials and colours, regaining its original flair.
The Villa was built at the beginning of the 18th century and belonged to the noble Carnicelli family. The over 300 years old cotto floors and original wooden doors are unchanged.
The living area is of 450 m² (4,850 ft²) on three floors. The available space and sleeping facilities allow the accommodation of 10 people. Upon request, also baby cots are available.
On the ground floor is a spacious dining room with a long dining table, an iPod/iPhone dock music speaker and a professionally-equipped kitchen with a large ILVE gas cooker with six gas burners.
Stepping out of the kitchen is an open terrace for outdoor dining and a WEBER gas barbecue. Furthermore, there is a studio room with a comfortable sofa and a Smart TV, a bathroom with shower and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
On the first floor is the heart of the Villa: a large comfortable living room with an open marble fireplace, a unique collection of hundreds of vinyls and a Bluetooth loudspeaker system for connecting your own music.
Attached is a big master suite and walking through the dressing room you reach a bathroom with a large bathtub and shower. On the same floor is a small suite with a king-size double bed and a bedroom with a single bed that can be converted into two single beds. There is a bathroom with shower communicating with both bedrooms.
On the second floor is a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a single room with a sofa bed and a spacious room for yoga and meditation, equipped with proper mats, cushions and deck chairs, with attached a big suite with a king-size double bed.
All mattresses, bed toppers and pillows are 100% ecologic and ergonomic made by JONA SLEEP. The bedding is made of organic linen.
Our whole property is organic and therefore free from herbicides, pesticides and fertilisers.
The nearest grocery stores, restaurants, biodynamic vineyards for wine tastings and olive oil producers are all in between 2 to 4 km walking distance.
Villa Carnicelli is centrally located between the most important cities. Lucca, Collodi and the artistic town of Pescia are reachable in 15 minutes. The Versilia coast with its chic beaches, such as Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio, Marina di Pietrasanta are reachable in 45 minutes.
Pisa, Florence, the Chianti wine area, Livorno, Montecatini Terme with its thermal springs, the marble quarries of Carrara and the mountainous Garfagnana region are less than an hour or an hour away.
Montepulciano, Maremma, Siena, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Portofino and Cinque Terre are between one and a half hours and two hours away.
The nearest airport is in Pisa reachable in 40 minutes driving distance. Florence airport is at one hour driving distance.
The entire building is equipped with a high-speed wifi connection by STARLINK, velocity of 300Mbps. The system can be switched off during the night or upon request.
