Very spacious, very clean, and minimally furnished and decorated. If you are used to easy and quick check in/checkout, be prepared to coordinate and have personal entry and inspection to include electric meter reading. Certainly this is to avoid any disagreements of property condition at checkout.
We enjoyed time spent at the south facing canal side patio sheltered from a north breeze in some of the coldest weather Florida had in ten years and did so in shorts. We saw manatees pass by daily (winter), and bald eagles circle every time we sat out by the water.
The outdoor grill was used for shark steaks and shrimp dinners that helped create some of the finest meals. Although the kitchen has some essentials, be prepared to shop for paper towels and most seasonings beyond salt and pepper. Only one sharp knife with a handle that comes off too easily. We missed the kitchen towels above the microwave oven cabinet, so the half roll of paper towels didn’t last long. The tile is cool and some rugs to avoid cold feet would help. Bathroom towels are the smallest and thin, but there are extras. Amazon Prime was the provided video entertainment.
We decided with the cold weather that the additional energy to heat the pool would be worthwhile, but it only heats during filter/pump schedule during 8am to 5pm and had not warmed enough before the pump shuts off (which didn’t cost us extra at checkout because we only used the house furnace heat during two days).
I must add that we hired Gulf Coast Kayak with Bryan as our fishing guide and had a blast. My lady caught her first fish ever, never having fished before. I hooked a good size red and reeled in after a nice fight, as well as a couple trout. We highly recommend them for rentals and as an experienced and helpful, friendly guide.
