Tolle Leistung des Personals. Super freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer war gross und bequem, Frühstück super. In der Umgebung gibt es viele Restaurants, kann ich nur empfehlen.

Amazing Hotel
The two ladies responsible for the whole hotel operations, are very professional, helpful and work as synced duo. We loved our time and were humbled with the professionalism this place is run. We will return as we left with expectation of experiencing more of this place and of Cape Town!

Lovely place to stay, very central and safe. Our room was upgraded on arrival which was a nice added bonus. Amy who worked on reception was lovely and so helpful. Good breakfast - would recommend.

Great area in Cape Town. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, yet quick and easy to get to other places using a taxi or Uber. Staff was very helpful and full of ideas for our short stay.

Das Hotel sah genauso aus wie auf den Bildern: liebevoll eingerichtet und viele kleine Details. Was herausgestochen hat war der Service. Jede kleine Bitte wurde erfüllt, was meine Reise nach Kapstadt wesentlich angenehmer gemacht.

Belle maison coloniale mais une gestion calamiteuse, croissants frais un jour, que l'on retrouve le lendemain, petits déjeuners sans protection avec mouches qui se promènent sur les aliments tranquillement, une petite piscine sale avec une eau trouble durant les 3 nuitée, un vrai scandale, une destination à déconseillée.

We also want to thank you for your below review, I do take your critics very serious it’s only critics like this which gives us the opportunity to improve on these types of things. However, I am not trying to cover up any off these things you've mentioned. But we did receive the pool water on Christmas morning it is water from the borehole so it had some sand it and the chemicals & creepy crawler still had to do it's work. We would like for you to come again and offer you one of our Suites instead of the Standard room you had during your stay we are sure your expectations will met along the way. Thank you once again. Stay at Walden House
My stay was very nice and the staff was very pleasant and helpful at all time. The room was very clean and neat the only issue I had was there was no hot water in the shower. Overall stay though was good.

Perfect Tamboerskloof hideaway with great ambience
The service was very capable & friendly! My room was very nice and the bed also excellent. Even though close to restaurants and some main roads in the area, the house is quiet. First night huge noise from next door neighbours. Young crowd. The standard of cleanliness can be upped. Generally happy. Will recommend it.

The perfect home base.
The staff were very friendly and were quick to answer every question I had. The location is great and makes for easy access anywhere in Cape Town, while the B&B itself is adorable with a lovely pool and very comfy rooms. Definitely, a place to go back to!

Mysigt guethouse med utsikt mot taffelberget.
Fantastiskt trevligt boende med hjälpsam personal. Att tänka på om man har svårt att gå är att det inte finns hiss till rummen på övervåningen. Vi bodde i bröllopssviten, stort rum stort badrum samt utgång till balkongGod frukost både kall och varm.

A gem
This is a beautiful guest house with a great view of Table Mountain. The service was excellent. I had the honeymoon suite, which was lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great place.
This place has it all. The great location, between downtown and Table Mountain cable car lower station. Beautiful villa. Excellent location also for people who will be boarding a cruise ship later. At upper floor you will have a nice view of the mountains and downtown from a balcony, accessible from a common corridor. The Honeymoon suite has a door directly to that L-shaped balcony. We were upgraded to that suite, which was very large with a fireplace, desk and cozy chairs. Bathroom is also large, nicely decorated and honeymooners will appreciate free standing bath tub and his and her shower head in the stall. Excellent breakfast includes not only a buffet section but also menu where you can order eggs, bacon...etc. Napkins have a temperature for that day printing on them - nice touch. The villa also has a cozy common area, again with a fireplace, sofa and more. The owner will get you tickets for Table Mountain on line, bypassing the waiting and also she will order a taxi for you. It will cost you about sixty SAR. It should be less by taxi meter (forty), but taxis are trying to get more, since shorter distance is not profitable for them. Still better choice than walking, which would be at least twenty minutes at higher pace and up the hill. We were very happy that we made this choice - to stay at The Walden House. Highly recommended!

Beautifully presented, comfortable, great service!
I had a week long stay in a garden room - it was comfortable, beautifully decorated and presented and most importantly clean. The Walden House is in a very inviting setting with beautiful gardens and all of the home comforts you could want. The staff are very friendly and helpful, arranging transport and tours with no problem. The airport transfer was great with a very helpful friendly driver. The Walden house really is in a great location, just out of the CBD it is still central Cape Town, close to table mountain with lots of lovely cafes 2 minutes walk away, and a short taxi ride to the V & A Waterfront (50-60ZAR). I had arrived early/mid morning so had arranged to drop my bags off - when I arrived my room was ready which after 30 hours of flying I was so incredibly appreciative of. The breakfasts are lovely with plenty of options. I used the laundry service which was well priced and great. Thanks for making me feel so welcome - If I am back in Cape Town I will definitely stay again.

Gut gelegen in Kapstadt, ruhig und doch nahe
Für einen zweitägigen Aufenthalt in Kapstadt suchte ich ein Hotel in der Nähe der Innenstadt, welches trotzdem ruhig gelegen ist. Hier fand ich das Gesuchte. Gute Lage, nettes Personal, sauber und hübsch dekorierte Räume. In der Nähe gibt es einige gute Restaurants, welche zu Fuss erreicht werden können.

Great start to our vacation.
Great Service! They helped us find our way around town and arranged a local car rental which delivered the car to the Walden House. They also arranged taxi service. The Walden House was quaint and pleasant and the breakfast was superb. We loved the fresh Protea flowers in the room at the table and in the common areas.

Period style in Cape Town
Really pleasant stay at the Walden House. Friendly helpful staff, great breakfasts with ample choice, and comfortably furnished rooms within a colonial style building. Nice and secure, it's in a convenient position for town - a short cab ride and equally close to the table mountain cable car. We enjoyed our stay here and found the Wakden House to be of excellent value.

Disappointing experience
My wife and I had stayed in the Honeymoon suite at Walden House a few years ago and were really looking forward to doing so again during an extended stay in Capetown this February. We specifically booked the Honeymoon suite at the beginning of June last year and had received confirmation that our booking was accepted. We were therefore very disappointed and angry to learn on arrival at the hotel that our room had been given to guests who had arrived the previous day. They were staying for a similar period to us so there was no prospect of moving to the room we had wanted. Worse, the Garden suite, which might have been a suitable alternative to the admittedly very pleasant room we were given, was also already occupied. We were told that the hotel could not have contacted us to explain and given us a chance to find other accommodation as they only discovered the problem the day before we had arrived! We found this very hard to believe. We received a discounted rate on the room we were given and one free night (although I think thre latter benefit is offered to all guests staying fo more than three nights - we had booked for eight). We also were given a bottle of sparkling wine and some confectionery, all of which was very pleasant but did not make up for our disappointment. We were naturally also rather irritated when subsequently in the middle of breakfast we were asked if we would move to another table so other guests who were only overnighting could sit where we were seated.

A Home away from home
Delicious Breakfast - Scrumptious poached eggs with chicken sausages which were my favourite and lots of fruits, juices, cheeses, breads, cereals etc. Clean and cozy rooms with an amazing couple's rain shower. Friendly and very helpful staff and manager. Nearby restaurants are a 2 minute walk away including Millers Thumb for fish and Kyotos sushi for Japanese food. Other restaurants and bars are also not too far off, 10-15 minute walk away. I would definately return again.

Väldigt nöjd
Det var fantastiskt att kunna gå ut på verandan och sitta med en öl i handen och titta på solnedgången över Taffelberget. Hela guesthouset och rummen är jättefina, personalen är väldigt hjälpsam (om än inte översvällallande hjärtlig) och frukosten är fantastisk. Jag fick mat till rummet när jag anlände sent på kvällen, trots att de normalt inte serverar mat. Mysigt med färska blommor på rummet när man kommer. Det enda lilla negativa är att det är kallt på rummen när det är kallt ute, och svårt att värma upp med AC + att sängarna var lite för korta för någon som är över 180 cm. Men allt som allt är jag supernöjd och skulle gärna komma tillbaka.
