  • Island House è un cottage privato nel centro del Captiva Village, di fronte a Binder Lane, dalla riva della baia. È costruito nel vecchio stile della Florida ed è registrato come un cottage storico. Il 28 marzo 2018, la Captiva Island Historical Society ha ospitato una celebrazione del 100 ° anniversario di Island House. Costruito nel 1918 da F. A. Lane e in seguito di proprietà del pastore Rawls fino al 1978 quando Joe e Nan Baer acquistarono la Island House e oggi rimane nella famiglia Baer / Terrill.

    Questa è un'ottima posizione con così facile comodità a piedi per negozi e ristoranti. Passeggia lungo Andy Rosse Lane fino alla spiaggia.

    Island House ha tre camere da letto e tre bagni, oltre a un divano letto in una stanza più piccola. C'è una cucina completa, una veranda vetrata e un bel cortile sul retro. Ha una lavanderia con lavatrice / asciugatrice. Per una famiglia che richiede meno spazio, è possibile affittare solo il bagno al piano inferiore con due camere da letto e due bagni separatamente per una tariffa settimanale ridotta.

We saw lots dolphins at the beach and manatees in the marina. Great family time!

Location, Location, Location!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great stay with our family of 4. We are a couple in our 50's traveling with our sons 19 & 20. The perfect part about this property besides the location is the "in-law" apartment. Our son's enjoyed their own space. The home had everything you would need for a perfect beach vacation. Many plates, utensils, beach chairs, outdoor shower, board games, etc. Location was truly amazing. About 2/10th of a smile from the beach, close to the restaurants but set back just enough to be away from the noise and hustle-bustle.

At the Island House we enjoy renting bikes and going to the beach and just exploring the area. We highly recommend this location if you want a great place to escape and become one of the "islanders".

Great house and location

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Short 8-10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The upstairs can only be accessed by using the outside stair case, so that’s not ideal. I came with my one year old son and packed a pack and play and everything else I needed. The house actually had a pack and play, umbrella stroller and toys! Which was super nice. Also had beach chairs and beach towels. The only problem I had with the house was that it was dirty. The air vents are discussing. It is clear they haven’t been cleaned in at least 6 months, probably longer. The fans also had a huge layer of dust. One of the air vents didn’t even have a filter in it. Under the couch is was gross and near the TV I don’t think it has ever been cleaned. The house is in need of a BIG time cleaning. That was my only problem with the house.

Absolutely Loved Everything

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very charming house. We have 4 kids (17, 13, 11, 9) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved being in the living quarters upstairs. 5 minute walk to the beach. 1-5 min walk to all restaurants. The property owner is most helpful and kind property owner I have rented from. Beach chairs, beach toys and towels are neatly provided. Everything describing the house and the reviews I read were extremely accurate. Would stay at this location again in a heartbeat.

Loved Island House!

The quiet street is just steps from sunrise and two blocks from sunset. The updated house had everything we wanted and the upstairs apartment provided just enough privacy. As usual, the American Realty staff took care of everything. Can’t wait to return to Captiva.
