“Adele was friendly on arrival and sorted check in and parking permit promptly. Room itself was large and clean, reasonably quiet (room 3) in spite of having window open and being near moderately busy road. Bed fairly comfortable. In a good state of repair though decorated and furnished in a very dated style. Bathroom was very small. Shower needs a new hose, spraying most of the water at the wall. “This hotel exceeded our expectations, so much so we stayed an extra night. The staff go the extra mile to ensure you are happy and enjoying your break. We met other couples that had returned to the hotel and been doing this for years. The food served was delicious and plentiful. “This is a little gem of an inn. The drive along the way is picturesque and Otterburn itself is darling. Our host for the Old Post Office was very accommodating. We arrived after the normal check-in time and she was very welcoming. Our room was immaculate and our shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, including our coffees (flat white and vanilla latte). We also enjoyed the back patio area with plenty of seating. Definitely recommend this inn!”
