The property was just as shown in the listing. The house easily accommodated six people. The rooms were very clean and well maintained . The kitchen appliances were all good and in excellent working condition. However, the kitchen cabinets could have used a little TLC; the interior of the kitchen cabinets were not as clean as the rest of the surfaces on the house, (previous tenants left open jars of food and leftover spices in one of the cabinets), some of the plates were chipped, pots and pans were haphazardly placed or stacked in the cabinets. Otherwise our stay was very enjoyable.

While it was a nice home, I don’t think we would stay there again in the lower unit. There wasn’t any kind of view, and the upstairs tenants were quite noisy. The living room furniture needs to be updated, there is no support in any of the seating, and not enough seating for 6 people. We only had 4 in our party, but struggled with finding comfortable places to sit. The toilet in the master bath dripped, and smelled of sewage. It was a good location and not a far walk to several beaches. The property management was responsive to any questions we had.

Perfect!
Stayed here with 3 couples and it was absolutely perfect! Definitely one of the cleanest and nicest houses I’ve rented. All the amenities that you could need, beach within walking distance, just a few minute drive to shops and restaurants. Thanks for a great weekend!

Comfortable Place to stay
This is a very nice place to stay. Objectively pros: spacious, private, good for families, all modern creature comforts. Cons: lighting is dim in kitchen, not a lot of pot and pans for cooking, confusing light switching. Check-in/out was smooth and simple, hosts attentive and responsive. Only draw back was having to sign a secondary contract directly with renter.

A wonderful stay in Carlsbad to visit our granddaughter attending college in Southern CA. The house is an open plan that worked perfectly for our needs. It had everything we needed and was close to the beach, restaurants and local attractions.

Didn’t meet expectations
- There was little to no lighting in the kitchen. It was very hard to see while cooking.
- stove light was broken
- top rack in oven is not installed correctly. 2 casserole dishes almost crashed onto the ground because it slides out and then tips downward.
- the leaf to extend the dining room table was missing

Walk to Beach
Beautiful home with lots of character and all the nice amenities. Fast response from host when in need. House set up is unusual, but the six of us made it work. The house is very open and allows beautiful breezes through out the day. Lots of storage, beach necessities and great towels/supplies for a traveler. Beach is close and allows those more active to enjoy miles of walks/runs. House is two separate rentals. Upstairs is a month long+. If one is sensitive to heavy foot steps and movement, be aware. Second guest was so polite and respectful of his neighbors below.

Gorgeous house
House is really beautiful, nicely furnished and appointed. Everything looked fresh and new. Plenty of space to spread out. On a very busy street but location across from the beach is worth it.

Carlsbad Getaway near the beach
Large lower level of a house with 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, large kitchen, living room, air and outdoors couch.
Safe neighborhood walking distance to get to the beach and surf spots. we were lucky to find bioluminescence both nights.
good kitchen to cook in and good downtown to walk around shops and restaurants after watching sunset. Great girls getaway.
