“I went downstairs to ask for some more towels and other items to be taken to the room and was told they had no one on shift to bring the items to our room. I get back from running errands, about an hour and picked up the items went back to the room and it’s being cleaned. I was a bit baffled because I was told they had no one on shift.”

“The building or my room was as basic as it gets. Quite uninviting and unwelcoming - as I said - very basic. You can hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms.
Shower stream was very weak, but water temp was good - hot.
Bathroom door was creaking
For 3 night's stay - we asked for room to be cleaned only to get back and was same. Not once was it cleaned.
My wife and I were left wondering if this was typical of Tru By Hilton or was it because this was near a college campus?”

“The room was 85F when entering at 11:50PM. With the AC running at full until 2AM the temperature was 79F. Staff could not get the TV remote to work. By 3AM the room was 77F and humid. Call ahead and ask them to turn on the AC or look at a different property”

“Staff are extremely friendly. Rooms are nice, although a microwave would be helpful. Pool is nice. Gym is very well equipped. Would love to have seen a hot tub or sauna. Having an included hot breakfast would be a great addition. And just an FYI, a train will pass by multiple times a day and even through the night, including the whistle! The hotel is great with noise cancelling items available on request.”
