“We were in Carbondale for my son’s SIU graduation. Since he attended one of the satellite campuses, this was our first visit to the university. This property could not have been more perfect. It was updated, comfortable, clean. The campus was a quick drive, and we were able to walk to restaurants, grocery stores, etc… since we had an early start on graduation day, it was a boon to have the fully equipped kitchen to make our breakfast before we were off for the day. “The home is an older home which appears to have been built in stages. The floors are quite creaky and the age shows throughout. The worst issue for us was the noise of the street out front. We had expected less traffic in such a small town, although the owner made no such claim. The beds were excellent and there was plenty of hot water. The furniture is in good shape. In view of the price we felt it was a good value.”

“The cabin was adorable. The grounds around the pond and the cabin were all neatly mowed. Pond gave us extra excitement for our short trip as we fished. Really enjoyed our stay in this great little cabin. It didn’t bother us as we read all the amenities, but there is no stove. Just know this. There is a microwave though. Also the DIRECTV has about every station you can possibly think of to watch.Including Pay stations. This is a 9 out of 10. Super relaxing!”
