100 year old Farm Cottage. Minutes from the beach!

This quaint, rustic cottage is located in the community of Cedar, just south of Nanaimo, on an accessible, yet secluded acreage.

It is walking distance to the beach and boat launch and amazing trails, yet less than 15 minutes from downtown Nanaimo, as well as both ferry terminals and the airport.

The quiet yard is surrounded by beautiful old maple, walnut, and fruit trees and overlooks the horse pasture and pond. It is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful morning cup of coffee or an evening sunset.

An attached games room includes ping-pong, air hockey and foosball tables, as well as a dart board, for all to enjoy and entertain a family. Kids big and small, young or old will love it.

The cottage boasts a cozy master bedroom on the main floor, situated off the main living area, and next to the bathroom. Upstairs is split in the middle with two additional attic-style bedrooms.

A double futon is available in the living room, as well as a single sized roll out cot, both with supplied linens for additional guests. Also provided is a Graco pack and play, playpen for your little one.

This 100+ year old original farmhouse has been freshly renovated, keeping its original rustic charm. We love it and think you will too!

$50 cleaning fee for first couple ($25/guest thereafter)

This cottage is located on our farm property, where where you may encounter our horse and our large friendly dog.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was clean and unique! My daughter lived watching the bunnies and hummingbirds. It is an old house so be prepared for creaky floors and bed, which added to the charm, for me. It was a bit of a drive when we wanted to go sight-seeing but I feel that that was fairly reflected in the price! Beautiful area and wonderful trip.

Girls Weekend Away

We had a wonderful time in your little cottage. It was the perfect size for the three of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the random blankets to cozy up with in the mornings. We walked to the water (might drive to the park next time) but it was doable. The little boat launch beach had the most interesting rocks and sea glass. It was close to everywhere we were going and you could pick up a bottle of wine at the liquor/gas station on your way in. We felt very safe staying here well off the road and into the property with the other homes close by. Thanks for the fun stay.

Family Christmas

My wife and I stayed 6 nights. One night was our family Christmas dinner. There was 12 of us, including 5 grandkids. All ages enjoyed the games room. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very helpful and prompt to respond.

Lovely cottage. Very clean and modern remodel.comfortable beds. The stairs to the upper two sleeping areas has a very narrow tread so a little scary but manageable. Would come back again.

Adorable cottage, lovely property manager.

Extremely charming property with fun amenities. We loved the game room and well kept kitchen, and the surrounding area is beautiful. One of the beds was somewhat uncomfortably rickety and the attic rooms were were rather warm in the summer heat, but everything else about the place was above and beyond. We had great interactions with the managers and all of their animals. Without doubt, we'd stay again! Absolutely worth the price point.

Peaceful Getaway

This was a fantastic getaway to end summer! Close enough, yet far enough away from the bustle of Nanaimo. The cottage was tastefully decorated, had everything we needed and the games room provided endless entertainment....as did the resident horse!

Cute spot in Cedar!

Went for an annual trip and we were pleasantly surprised by the Froggy Knoll Cottage! Fully stocked kitchen, games room, large bathroom and good sleeping areas for all of us. Close to Cable Bay Trail but definitely a drive to the beach. Place was very clean and private. Upstairs got warm but there were fans and you can open windows for extra airflow. Overall a great place to stay!

Perfect ocean getaway

We are a large family of 8, with kids between 6-12, and this property was close to the beach, amenities, and hikes. We all very comfortable fit in the extra cute cottage and it had everything we needed and more. The games room is incredible!

Beautiful stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay. The games room was a hit as a family. We enjoyed the chalkboard with ideas of what to do and where to go. It would have been nice to have a little more info on the suggestions. The only issue for us was the beds. The online listing is not accurate for the amount of beds. We are a tall family and the pull out couch was small. And the two beds in the one room are better for smaller children. I'd say it sleeps 5-6.

Girls weekend

Great place to spend our girls weekend. We arrived very late & the check in process could not have been more accommodating. Everything was impeccably clean & well thought out. The cottage is an exactly as the pictures show & so cute I would recommend this location to anyone.
