Ruhige Lage und tolle Aussicht!

Die Unterkunft liegt gut zwei Kilometer von Castelbuono entfernt in einem Berghang mit wunderschöner Aussicht. Sehr schönes Außengelände mit einem sehr großen gepflegten Poll. Unsere Wohnung war einfach eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Einrichtung und Ausstattung waren schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Lovely apartment in peaceful location just outside the charming town of Castelbuono

Our host was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on the local region and keeping the attractive outside area clean. The patio and pool area looks across a mountain view, changing in the light from dawn to dusk. The apartment provided everything we needed including indoor and outdoor cooking facilities. Castelbuono is well served for bars, restaurants and points of interest. It sits in the Madonie nature reserve so is good for walking and wildlife .

Canadian family of 5 in Castelbuono

Vincenzo and his son were there to great us. The place is really high up in the mountains, you must know that you have to drive on very narrow roads and steep hills to get there... like most if Sicily :) The drive to town is about 5-6 min, and Castelbuono is a really nice place to walk and visit, but parking is a hard one. The surroundings of the apparemment is mostly peaceful, (depending on who rents right next door and if the local teenagers are around), as it is a complexe where we share the courtyard and the pool. Also good to know you have to manage yourself to bring your trash and recycling in town and bring everything else: soap, trash bags, etc... The linen and the towels are included and helpfully a washing machine :) Vincenzo gave us a What's app number to reach him anytime. Fantastik hus, pool og udeområde :-)

Famile 2 voksne, 1 teenager og et barn på 9. Passede perfekt til os, afslapning og bade i poolen. Udekøkken :-) Vincenzo “ejer” var super til at hjælpe med gode ideer til ture og restauranter i den hyggelige by.

The perfect holiday

We spent a week in beautiful Castelbuono. The view from the apartment is breathtaking and the area is calm. It was the perfect holiday for relaxing and playing with the kids in the pool. The host was great and had lots of suggestions for little trips. We will for sure return! :)

Absolutely amazing stay

We had an amazing time in Castelbuono villa. Everything, from the booking to the last day was a top notch. Vincenzo, the host, provided us with GPS, to make location of the house easiest. He met us at the property, gave all the necessary information and tour. Villa is fully equipped with all necessary items to make your stay comfortable. It is located in the most beautiful area Madonia mountains region. Castelbouno is a small medieval town with castle as major tourist attraction. Villa has a pull, gorgeous roses, garden and million dollars view!!

Sehr schönes und ruhiges Ferienhaus!

Toll gelegen, gut ausgestattet und ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Das Gelände ist sehr gepflegt, mit einem schönen Pool, den wir aufgrund der Temperaturen nicht genutzt haben. Die Terrasse vor der Küche ist traumhaft. Wenn es uns nochmal nach Sizilien verschlägt, kommen wir wieder! Danke Enzo!

Beautiful Castelbuono

The view is amazing from this place! We ate outdoors and loved the mountain air after being in the interesting city of Napoli. We were a party of 5 and Vincenzo's apartment worked really well for us. He is very hospitable and helpful. We cooked meals a couple of times and the kitchen is well-equipped to do so. The parking is on-site and Castelbuono is a few minutes away (by car). We enjoyed strolling around the town and watching residents having fun with each other. Also it's easy to drive to Cefalu and the Valley of the Temples using Castelbuono as a base. This stay was definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy.

Herrliche Lage, geschmackvoll, tolle Anlage mit Pool

Die Kommunikation mit Vincenzo war vorbildlich. Per WhatsApp erhielten wir die genauen Koordinaten, und so war das Grundstück problemlos zu finden. Mit den kleinen Schildern "Castro" ist die richtige Auffahrt nicht zu verfehlen. Die Anlage besteht aus einer Villa und einem kleinen Extrahaus mit insgesamt 5 oder 6 Wohnungen, von denen aber nur zwei in der Vermietung sind. Die anderen werden familiär und äußerst selten genutzt. Unsere Wohnung lag im Erdgeschoss, mit eigner Terrasse und Außenküche, zwei Gasflammen, Spüle und integriertem Grill. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll, Gartenmöbel aus Holz, kein Kunststoff! Die Küche ist etwas spartanisch eingerichtet, aber wir kamen zurecht. Eins der beiden Doppelbetten könnte demnächst mal eine neue Matratze vertragen. Vincenzo war sehr präsent und immer hilfsbereit. Er kümmert sich neben der Vermietung auch um den Garten und den Pool. Nach vier Tagen in Palermo war unser Aufenthalt in Castelbuono eine echte Erholung.

Sycylijskie wakacje

Nasze rodzinne wakacje w willi w Castelbuono oceniamy jako bardzo udane. Gospodarz Vincenzo przyjął nas serdecznie i był pomocny przez cały nasz pobyt. Miejsce spokojne i urokliwe z pięknymi widokami na okolicę , idealne żeby się wyciszyć i obcować z piękną przyrodą. W pobliskim Castelbuono i Cefalu świetne restauracje . Według nas niezbędny samochód z podwyższonym zawieszeniem, ewentualnie napędem 4 x 4 z uwagi na stromy dojazd. Polecamy wszystkim bardzo gorąco! Chętnie tam wrócimy.

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub!

Der Urlaub in diesen Objekt war wunderschön! Alles war sauber und gepflegt. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und stand uns mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung. Der Pool war schön groß und von der Terrasse hatte man einen sehenswerten Ausblick.

Im großen und ganzen war es schön bei Vincenzo es war sauber und es gab einen großen Pool.Man brauch aber unbedingt ein Auto zum erreichen des Hauses .Das einzigste was nicht so schön war war das man sein Mühl selbst entsorgen musste (10 min mit auto )

Erholsame Tage in einer herrlichen Gegend

Spacious place, up a rough road but with good views

Good communication with owner who live off-site. Their family above were thankfully only noisy for the first night. Rather tight of the owners to ask us for 1 Euro pppn for city tax given the steep price of the accommodation - penny pinching. Large kitchen & living room, two decent size bedrooms, shower OK. Large outdoor area & large pool, shared with two other holiday lets. Pool unheated and was cold in mid Sept despite sunny weather. Mosquitoes in bedroom but thankfully only for the first night. No food as a welcome, but could pick ripe figs from the numerous trees. Good outside area & furniture, though was nice there were no other gustes to have to share it with. Property hard to find, up a rough steep road - but rewarded with great views from the outside area. Location not very useful for getting anywhere other than Castelbuono, so best for a relaxing stay rather than sightseeing

Lazy days by the pool, and a base for exploring Madonie Park

Warm, welcoming reception, especially considering that after a delayed flight we arrived at 3 in the morning, and Vincenzo stayed up to meet us at the house. The pool is shared, though we had it to ourselves for most of our stay. It's a beautiful location, a bit cooler in the evenings for being in the mountains, which we appreciated. The drive in and out of town is a little daunting the first couple of times, but soon becomes just a part of staying a bit out of town. Quiet, and dark enough at night to enjoy the stars. We had thought a restaurant being only 1 km away might be walkable some evenings, but we quickly decided that the climb would be too much after eating! Great care was taken to maintain the garden and pool while we were there. This place worked well for us as a base to explore Madonie park, and a short drive to an uncrowded beach. (The beach in Cefalu was very crowded, but we soon found our own place) We had a great holiday, and staying here was a big part of that. Thanks to Alessandro and Vincenzo for your friendly welcome.

Beautiful home in the mountains with breathtaking view, pool, and everything for the perfect vacay!

We had the most wonderful stay at Vincenzo’s beautiful property! Great communication and his son Alessandro met us and took us to the home (even though we arrived very late in the evening!). The home and the surroundings are even more beautiful than in the pictures! The house was clean, cozy and in a nice decor. The huge terrace with the outdoor kitchen and bbq was our favorite spot to hang out (note that the property is part of a small complex so pool can be shared with others, but we had it to ourselves when we were there). The pool was lovely with a breathtaking view of the mountains and Alessandro came by every day to clean it and water the flowers. Both Vincenzo and Alessandro were so friendly and sweet. Alessandro was very helpful with questions we had during the week. The town of Castelbuono is magical! Very local and very charming with lots of small squares with cafes and a nice restaurants. There is a great supermarket in town. Cefalù and nice beaches are within driving distance. Would definitely recommend Vincenzo’s property to everyone! We really hope to be coming back soon. Thank you :-)

Schöne Tage in Castelbuono

Wir verbrachten 5 schöne Tage in Castelbuono. Von dort unternahmen wir ausgedehnte Wanderungen im Gebirge. Nachmittags genossen wir die Ruhe am Pool. Enzo und sein Sohn kümmerten sich persönlich um alle Anliegen. Sie sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber.

Entspannter, erholsamer Urlaub mit tollem Pool und Aussicht.

Wer das typische Sizilien sucht, ist hier richtig. Der Ort Castelbuono hat alles was man hierfür benötigt und sich trotzdem seinen Charme erhalten. Allerdings, ohne Auto geht es nicht. Die Wohnung liegt etwas außerhalb von Castelbuono, mit einem herrlichen Blick über die Berge und die Dörfer Pollina und San Mauro. Das letzte Stück Straße ist nicht so toll und gehört eigentlichen von der Gemeinde oder den Anwohnern erneuert. Das Apartement ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und draußen befindet sich eine Sommerküche mit Grill. Die Küche in der Wohnung könnte etwas besser bestückt sein ( großes Schneidebrett, neue Kaffeemaschiene und große Schüsseln ). Ansonsten ist alles vorhanden. Der Besitzer Enzo steht jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung und gibt hilfreiche Tips zur Erkundung der Insel. Die Nordküste Siziliens kann so leicht entdeckt werden. Von Palermo und Umgebung bis Richtung Messina und den Liparischen Inseln. Die anderen vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind auch zu besuchen, allerdings fährt man dann etwas länger und ist somit auch schon einmal einen ganzen Tag unterwegs. Alles kein Problem, denn Abends kann man sich ja auf der Terrasse oder am Pool abkühlen und im Liegestuhl entspannen.
