“It was an excellent 2 night stay, breakfast was plentiful and delicious with lots of choice, bed was very comfortable providing a good night's sleep and being able to use the swimming pool was an added plus, would definitely reccomend. ”

“Stayed 1 night as a stop off. Staff friendly and professional. The pool had been in use when we arrived and we were told we would only be able to use after 7:30pm and pool closed at 8:00pm, which was disappointing as it was one of the reasons for booking this hotel. The staff however told us we could have longer time which was lovely of them.
The pool is not massive but enough to have a good swim.
Continental breakfast was included in our booking and there was plenty of choice.

“I have stayed twice at the Talardy when my dad has been in hospital. The staff are amazing, very caring and quick to help. The first time I stayed in the main building, this time in the annex. Both are very good, and I appreciated the air con as I arrived in a heat wave. The rooms are very clean and roomy. The breakfasts are cooked fresh and very filling. “WHAT A FIND!!!! A real gem
After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel.
It's set in a small, quiet village near the river.
We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent
The room we stayed in was quiet, clean, the bathroom was a good size, the bed was comfy.
The breakfast in the morning was superb quality made from local produce. ...
