“I stayed at the Midland because I had a hospital appointment the following morning. The rooms were adequate but basic. I wasn't impressed with the receptionist, I felt she was rather cold. Around 8pm I went to reception and asked the same young lady for a couple of extra pillows ( there was only one on the bed) she said she would send some up, they never arrived. There wasn't any information on the telephone to be able to ring reception.”

“Staff have lots of attitude, no real customer service, not enough food for breakfast. Terrible service you get better service from other hotel providers, need to teach staff that hospitality means being nice and going the extra mile. Will not be booking again. Looks like white people were better served.”

“Not great, pretty basic hotel”

“The room was pretty cold on arrival, but soon worked out how to get the heating on.Staff were very helpful and managed to sort out my booking, that Expedia failed to notify the hotel, so they were not expecting me.The room was aa bit outdated,and not very soundproof, the 7 lane bypass was very noisy during the night,even with the window closed.”

“Excellent. Location is superb. A warm welcome from the staff. Room very clean, comfy bed brilliant shower. Breakfast was very good. A great place to stay. No hesitation in highly recommending this hotel.”

“Didnt even get to the property. Wrongly advertised as having free parking. The manager refused to help as unaware to me there is a £100 deposit. Until i paid this . Even though I paid for the room he would not give me any details of the location. So held to ransom . He was polite but unhelpful. I chose this property exclusively because of parking as I cant walk distances and especially with a suitcase. Im still trying to get my money back ”
