On a private gravel road right on the Lake
1.5 hours north of Chicago, 40 min from Milwaukee
Huge picture windows overlooking the Lake, Natural stone fireplace, open concept living and dining room with a side room
1 bedroom queen bed, side room pull out sleeper sofa sleeps 2, small bunkhouse with bunk-bed.
WiFi & high-speed internet, led flat screen tv’s, an assortment of books, dvd movies, games.
Beautiful sunrise and moon rise over the shimmering lake
Star gaze far from city lights on the Lakeside patio with fire pit while roasting marshmallows.
Cottage patio with firepit, weber grill we supply charcoal, lighter fluid and split firewood :)
Bring your water toys & kayaks for fun on the water and Sandy Beach.
Bring your fishing pole and try your luck at shore fishing and at nearby Harrington state park
Lot’s of wildlife including Eagles, monarch butterflies crossing the Lake on their annual migration, deer, many birds etc.
Restaurants, shopping, interurban bike & hiking trails, Harrington State Park, Kohler Andrae State Park
Golfing at Whistling straights, water park, charter fishing, Road America, Sheboygan, Port Washington, lots of areas to explore and have adventures
no-pets policy.
We are a smoke free family environment

Raxing Getaway
My family loved the cottage. We spent a evening watching old movies and playing games that were in the cabinet. My kids loved the snacks and smores that were left for us and us parents loved the wine. Anytime I had questions prior to arrival i got a response back from the owners within minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway
Alan and Linda are great hosts. The cottage is amazingly well kept. A great location for someone looking for a quiet getaway. Far enough away from real life but close enough to some fun activities. The view of the lake and a small fire in the fireplace was the relaxing experience I was looking for.

Beautiful Winter Stay
I stayed on the property for a couple winter nights and it was absolutely perfect for what I was looking for. Which is some peace and quiet, surrounded by the sound of crashing waves. The home was cute and cozy and the fireplace helped during the snow flurries on a blustery day. I also loved the collection of dvds. There is something to say about the simplicity of picking a dvd these days as opposed to scrolling endlessly on streaming services. I know people talk about places they went in the area, such as restaurants and shops, but I never left the property (and it was exactly what I needed). I will absolutely be back again. Thank you for opening up your home for us that need a piece of the mighty Lake Michigan year round.

Another Great Stay in the Books!
This was my second time staying at the cabin. This time, I brought my grown-up kiddos, and they were just as amazed at the beauty, comfort and amenities that I was when I came here alone back in March. We had the BEST time and it was much needed. We had everything we needed and there is so much to do in a 25 mile radius of the cabin. I/we can't wait to come back! Thank you Alan and Linda for another amazing experience! Your cabin is now a staple to my happiness! ;-)

Relaxing Family Time
Took 89 yr old to see family with us. She loved this cottage, very accessible! The beds were cozy (lots of pillows, sweet quilts & blankies for snuggling provided), Moon & Sunrises over the sparkling lake are unforgettable, welcoming wine, water & snacks appreciated as were the driveway & pathway lights as our flight got in after dark. Swinging on the bench swing surrounded by fall colors was a treat! Did not get to use fire pits or bikes so we will have to come back!! Alan & Linda are next level hosts, very communicative, lots of helpful info provided. TY TY!!
