“I have no idea how In The Wind Hostel gets good ratings. Maybe mostly men stay here and avoid the brunt of it, but as a solo female traveler, this was hands down the worst hostel experience I’ve ever had.  The owner’s behavior was unhinged. “The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by how excellent the interior was. There are several common areas including a full kitchen and all are well maintained and well thought out. Very beautiful.”

“Amazing property, well thought out comfy beds with fans / power / lights for each….. two different density pillows! There is a nice path to the river and comfy chairs to lounge in. Owners are super friendly and communication was easy. Parking lot is on the left side of the road about 100 feet before you reach the property on the right side of the road. ”

Nikki, the receptionist on duty during our stay, was a wonderful help to us and devoted some of her own time helping us plan our time in Jaco.
