“I feel bad having to leave a poor review overall as the owner was very accomodating and resjponsive but there are some big concerns I wish I had known before I rented. On the accurate side, the location is outstanding. I had seen the cottage on a previous trip and knew we wanted to be smack on the boardwalk. It is before season so the beach was all ours. Kitchen and bathroom are dated but clean.
On the " not good but maybe not a dealbreaker given the location" was the shabbiness- inadequate...

“This was third time using the hotel for my birthday trip. I noticed the change when I checked in. I normally could check in early around 2p. Not this time. I had to til 4pm. Carpet getting to my room on the 5th floor needs to cleaned ASAP. The room was ok except the bathroom had a mystery table under the sink. The over flow drain in the sink was black from not being cleaned. The shower was slippery. The handle nops in the shower were lose. I was awaken by the guy next door coughing and sneezing...

“This is one of the oldest hotels left in Ocean City. It's an aging classy lady that we all know and love. The room was Bayside, small queen but it was meticulous and adequate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But we came for the stunning views and the small private beach where you can relax or even fish or just sit for hours and watch the boats pass through the inlet.
