“Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather.”

“The stay at the Garden Lodge was really perfect! Jubenal and his family are so helpful and friendly! It is a little outside of LA Fortuna situated but Jubenal offered us to drive us to the center and picked us also up. The room is really great, it's a small house of wood with a view to a part of a forest. So in the night and the morning you hear the animals living there. “Free breakfast everyday, both including typical Costa Rican breakfasts, as well as pancakes for those who prefer a breakfast from home. The thermal springs were the best!! Especially the swim up bar (helps save money on commuting to other thermal springs as well as the entrance fee) Staff were wonderful! Sweet and helpful at recommending restaurants and activities:) Transportation from the airport to hotel was $225, so great to split between 5 people.”

“Very clean house in beautiful location, with small river running along back of property. Saw monkeys most early mornings in trees along river. Productive bird watching just from backyard.
