Motel a Chapman Ranch

“Check in was very easy, no issues, as I chose to pay when arriving. When getting to the second floor, after exiting the elevator, there was a strong smell of some type of odor that was unbearable (gas/garlic). I went down to talk to the front desk front desk and she went upstairs to check and told me there was about 5 Indian families that were staying on that floor and that the smell was caused by cooking Indian food. “Nice cheap motel on Ocean drive, close to beaches and on the way to Padre Island. Room was new and clean, though still lacking some details, like hangers - but I guess it'll be fixed soon. Staff was nice and kept asking how was our stay and how was the new bed”

“There is currently construction outside the hotel, which I understand is beyond the hotel’s control. However, the lobby was closed both when we arrived and when we left, which added to the overall experience. We were in town for a cycling event and really only needed a place to sleep for the night.
