“This was our favorite vacation home we’ve ever stayed in! It’s so open yet cozy with the way it’s set up & decorated with photos from the area. Plenty of counter space, hooks to hang things, a washer & dryer, little “extras” like homemade maple syrup, bottled water & ketchup in the fridge. Coffee, cream, sugar & tea bags to boot. “Cute, quaint 3-bedroom, small but old cabin. The hottub was very big and relaxing and the backyard view of the trees, firepit, and pretty pond were nice. The hosts placed wildflowers in a vase as a nice touch and there was coffee and standard kitchen utensils, although the kitchen is small. There's 1 full bathroom, a half bath, and a shower in a closet. Also, it's an old house so there's 2-prong outlets everywhere”

“Rebecca made us feel at home during our stay. Really enjoyed the home made breakfast every morning! The cabin was really nice, but the porch was our favorite! Watching the river boats and sitting in the porch was so relaxing, exactly the relaxation we needed!”

“Cons: Not motorcycle friendly. I would be very cautious with a normal sized car also as the gravel road leading to the property was long and uneven. Torn up livingroom chair on the back porch was odd. Livingroom furniture looked like old second hand furniture. Seemed like they bought one of the cheapest models of hot tub. It did the job though. “We had a great stay. We had cellphone service for text and calls with Verizon. Make sure to bring flashlights as it gets pretty dark out at night when going to the car or fire and you can trip on wet grass. Town has an amazing coffee shop with amazing food called Gran Robbies!! 😋 The scones were so good.”

“The Moonshine Trail cabin is exactly as described and pictured. It was very clean, appropriately appointed and had nice interior design - lots of personal touches that made the cabin feel like home. “We really enjoyed our stay in this glamping tent. Even with heavy rain, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the hottub because the outside areas are covered. The tent stayed very dry as well. We did not receive check in information prior to arrival, but this was easy enough to figure out. I would recommend this place to others visiting the area.”

“We came down to visit New River Gorge. The cabin was in a great location for what we wanted to do, only 15-20 minutes from several hikes. The owner was nice and was easily available when needed. My only complaint was the hot tub on the property was a little temperamental and could have been cleaner. The cabin was nice and clean though.”

“The house was very clean and nicely decorated. I was particularly pleased with the beds. They were very comfortable. There was everything we needed although bath mats for the showers would be nice. I was a little surprised that there wasn’t any soap for the showers, something we have found in other VRBO rentals. The host Roger, was very helpful and responded to my questions very quickly. “Very quite place way back from noise and business of city life. We were very busy with what we were doing but the campground around us looked peaceful. The cabin seemed newly built and had new furnishings. The only thing that was missing was a normal sized shower. The shower was very tiny and for the money it was overpriced. Other than that it was a good deal. ”
