L'Highland Cottage è una villetta recentemente rinnovata sulla splendida James Island, un sobborgo del centro di Charleston a sole 4 miglia di distanza. Siamo anche a soli 6 miglia dalla festosa Folly Beach. Il cottage è dotato di una cucina a servizio completo, lavatrice e asciugatrice e grill all'aperto. We had a great stay at this unit. The kitchen/living area was spacious and clean, the outdoor area was lovely and private, and the bbq joint next door was a huge bonus. We were traveling with our baby and needed a crib, which was mentioned in the listing but not in the unit when we arrived, but Kit was able to provide one very quickly.

We had a great overall experience from check-in to check-out. Communication was great, location was easy to find, and instructions for the stay were clearly communicated.We arrived to an ice maker full of ice and cold AC. The location is extremely convenient to all the local restaurants, grocery stores and a short drive to Folly Beach or Downtown. Beds were comfortable and clean as was the rest of the property. It was great to have two bathrooms for those post beach showers and the outside had an outdoor shower and hose for rinsing off if needed.We didn't utilize all the outdoor amenities in our short stay, but it was great to have beach chairs provided so we didn't have to bring our own.Overall we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend.

The property was absolutely amazing. It had a little bit of everything. The outdoor are was phenomenal in the afternoon as it gave the family time to play outside after our day at the beach. The house itself felt like a home. The family and I have put this on our list of favorites and will plan to come back again!

House was great! Homey and cozy but not over the top with decorations. This made for flat empty surfaces for our stuff! Well stocked and adorable ! Communication was spot on. Location was great too.

The property was all we hoped it would be: modern, clean, comfortable, and convenient to downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. Kit responded to our questions as we texted her. I would definitely recommend!

Really cute cottage in the perfect location! Very well-maintained, clean, with lots of added touches to enhance our stay. And we loved the countertop ice maker and excellent AC after hot days, exploring the city! Highly recommend!

This is a gem in the inside but deceptively not on first outside glance. The place could have used some shelving in bathrooms. Maybe a better cupboard for dishes. We are older and getting down on the floor to get the dishes was a bit hard. But the place was overall great for four of us. Great outside sitting and a great grill.

The rental was better than expected. Kit and Judy were the best. Very accommodating and responsive. Location was great, only a short drive into Charleston. I would recommend Highland Cottage to everyone.

Excellent location for a stay in Charleston! Two bedrooms and two baths and all the amenities if you want to go to the beach or just hang out around the fire pit. Communication with the host was amazing and cleanliness was top notch!

Loved the cottage, so clean. Great location. Easy access to downtown. Front room TV doesn't get a good connection to live TV even after the TV was swapped out. Our party of 4 agreed that matresses on both beds were a bit too soft, but perhaps might be better suit with a mattress platform in between the mattress and box springs. They had coils in them and the were squeaky. They might be ok for young people or those who don't have bad backs. Just a suggestion. The platforms are affordable and can be purchased on Amazon. People use them to provide more comfort on sofa sleepers. Regarding the TV, a booster is not sufficient enough, it needs its own box. The place is really nice though. I ended up casting youtube live TV from my ipad to the TV in the livingroom to bypass the buffering issue.

Everything in the home was as pictured. It was close to the beach and May places we visited were less than 20 minutes away. Unfortunately, a few things were not to my satisfaction; towel had (perceived) makeup stains that didn’t come out in the wash, spiderwebs in some places and the countertop ice maker had a dirty reservoir which was not discovered until after we’d used the ice for 2 days. So, to the naked eye things are very satisfactory and I’m not sure I’d stay again.

Kit's little getaway was perfect for our family of 4. The rooms were quiet and we never heard either street noise or people in the adjacent unit. The kitchen was well-appointed although we mostly dined around town. The countertop ice machine was a nice bonus! Our communication was easy and quick, parking was easy and generous, and we regret not having time to enjoy the outdoor sitting area in the yard.

The cottage is in a great location. You can walk/run for pleasure or exercise.It's close to downtown, not too far from the beach and other attractions.It's a comfortable size for 4 adults.The property is well kept.

The listing was spot on! Kit, the owner, is absolutely amazing! She truly went above and beyond for us. Our last-minute stay, due to a family member in the Charleston Hospital, was made so much easier thanks to Kit's incredible hospitality. She is truly a fantastic owner!The house was even better than my own home. The little details were lovely. The outdoor space with a fire pit and grill was a nice touch. The beds were super comfy and there were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The drive to Charleston Hospital was a breeze, which was the main reason for our stay at the VRBO. I highly recommend both the owner and this charming little VRBO! I can't wait to come back for a vacation under better circumstances and simply enjoy visiting Kit and her beautiful home!
