Our stay at Lake Norman was really fun. The location of this property is fantastic. It is on a very quiet part of the lake, and there are water views from both the front and the back of the house. Both sides of the house border on two very quiet coves with no boats coming in or out, so no boat noise or constant activity. The coves are too tight to water ski which is probably why it’s so quiet there. You can see the large part of the lake in the distance, where all of the activity is, but in these two coves it is very quiet and serene. The dock is the highlight of the property. It is a nice large dock, perfect for just hanging out, sunbathing, morning coffees, and for swimming. There is also a boat ramp right next to the dock where we kept the 2 kayaks that we rented for the week. Kayaking was fantastic in those two quiet coves. The sunsets from the dock were also amazing. The fire pit was well-utilized during our trip. It was a beautiful evening scene with the fire and a beautiful lake view in the background. The house itself is an older house, so don’t expect brand new construction. The house has an unusual layout, but it was very large and spread out which gave the 4 of us plenty of privacy. The house was very adequately furnished and comfortable. And as I said, the views from the house were all lovely. And last but not least, our host, Brenda, was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this lovely, relaxing property.
