“We stayed as a small family during the Easter holidays, mainly to use the pool and spa facilities, with the hotel’s proximity to Gloucester Docks (around 2.5 km) also a key reason for booking. Overall, the experience was mixed. On arrival, our room had issues—most notably the shower. The bath–shower mixer tap diverter didn’t work, and water pressure was extremely poor, to the point even a bath was just a trickle. “We really enjoyed our stay at The Lakes by Yoo. Everything was clean and well designed and the pool and spa facilities were good. Most importantly the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. There was a minor issue with our original room so they kindly upgraded us to a suite for our final night, which we weren't able to stay in as we had to leave due to a family emergency, but the gesture was greatly appreciated. We hope to visit again in the future! ”

“A shame breakfast not cooked to order. Impressive dining room, just avoid tables on a through- route. Well staffed all great at up-selling. Had a room in the main house which had difficult access to the bathroom, especially at night. (Three narrow steps up). Check in/put very smooth. Comfortable lounge areas”
