Located in the heart of downtown Chatham, this gem offers an easy walk to dinner, ice cream, shopping, a movie, Oyster Pond Beach, the ball field, and the playground. This comfortably furnished Cape has all four bedrooms on the second floor, offering 2 queen and 4 twin beds, each with its own A/C unit. Enjoy a spacious living room and an extra den, both with A/C units, where you can spread out and relax. You'll also have access to WiFi and a flat-screen TV for keeping up with the news or watching baseball or a movie. The well-cared-for, sprawling backyard features a flat, lush lawn perfect for a game of Frisbee, catch, or croquet. After a day of sun and surf, rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower. The outdoor patio has seating for alfresco dining or a night of stargazing. A Pack & Play portable crib is also available for your use. This rental includes a Welcome Bag, a reusable starter pack tote that includes paper and cleaning products for your stay, compliments of the owner. Great spot

I grew up in Sandwich and thought if I ever came back to the Cape Chatham would be my top choice. But, now, 50 years later, one week is anout aĺl I can afford in such a prime location! Love that its an authentic cape, from back when I lived in the area, and long before. The adjacent parking lot is great for visitors. The backyard is spacious.

Close to everything but not clean and very dated

Good: The property is located right downtown so if that is your number one requirement and don't care about anything else, you found the right property The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. The back yard is large and has a couple of very nice seating areas. The outdoor shower is nice. Bad: The place is was not very clean. There were spiders set up with extensive webs in a lot of places that should have been obvious to cleaners. Hairs from previous guests were in the bathrooms. The mattress pad on one bed had a giant urine stain and another bed had blood stains on the mattress pad. That's gross. If you're tall (over 6') the ceilings upstairs are low & the showers are tiny. The furniture is well-worn and needs updating. The house smells bad inside; especially upstairs. There is a lot of general maintenance that's been let go like super squeaky doors, peeling/damaged paint, shades that are torn and don't work, scratched up floors, dirt and spider webs all over the front of the house and gutters full of leaves and debris. The inside is super dark; even in the middle of a sunny day with all the lights on. While the location near town is convenient, the noise from the road just several feet from the house that connects to the town parking lot was aggravating. Also, there is a restaurant/bar right down the street that you can hear music from until it closes and then you get to enjoy the drunken yelling and profanity from the people clearing out of the place! We won't re-book.
