    Welcome to your Cape Cod getaway in Chatham. This two-story home sits in a peaceful neighborhood within walking distance of the scenic Bucks Creek Marsh area and less than a mile from beloved Ridgevale Beach. Whether you're here for sunny beach days, bike rides, or seafood feasts around the grill, this is a spot made for easy living.

    Step inside to a bright and comfy living room perfect for movie nights, rainy-day lounging, or board game battles around the coffee table. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up vacation meals, from pancake breakfasts to fresh-off-the-grill dinners. There’s also a dining table for eight so the whole crew can gather together.

    Outdoors, you have choices: lounge on the farmhouse front porch to enjoy a good book or conversation, or slide open the back door to enjoy refreshing breezes and meals outdoors on the backyard private deck. Fire up the gas grill and toast to another perfect Chatham evening.

    The first floor has a large bedroom with a king bed, and also offers a full bathroom and convenient washer/dryer. Head upstairs to find three relaxing bedrooms and two more full baths. The primary suite includes its own seating area, TV, and en suite with a tub/shower combo. The additional bedrooms share a full bath along with a cozy reading / play area. All have plenty of natural light.

    Adventure is never far. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is just a mile away for biking and exploring, the downtown Chatham shops and restaurants and numerous beaches are all within an easy drive. Chatham is perfectly situated mid-Cape to explore the beauty of the cape, from state parks to local conservation lands to the national seashore. Summer nights offer the opportunity to take in a Cape Cod League game at the local Chatham Anglers ballpark or concerts at the Chatham bandstand.

    Pack your flip-flops, bring the family (including the board games), and settle into a carefree Cape Cod vacation.

You know how sometimes you go away to the beach and settle into a rental house that is filled with charm, hominess, TLC, and the warmth of the family? That's NOT this house. This house is a well-appointed, clean, well-run investment property. It is an affordable, friction-free, smooth experience, but it is not a charming, lively, delightful house that helps you make memories.I'll break down the pros and cons.It was clean and spacious. It had plenty of towels, and it came with sheets and blankets. The wall A/C units worked. The door locks were easy and worked. It was about a mile from a TERRIFIC beach (Ryder's), and about the same from a terrific pond. The TVs were large and worked. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and cutlery. When we needed extra sheets because a child got sick, the service dropped them off within a couple hours. The caretaker, Brian, was very responsive by text. The house delivered all it promised.Here's what the house did not have: Any personal touches. Almost no board games, only one or two books, very little art on the walls. No bikes or boogie boards in the garage. There was dish soap, but not laundry detergent (the kind of thing that a family might leave behind as a nice touch). No throw blankets, no rugs.Basically, you know how AirBnB's started off as people's homes that they were renting out for a night or two, then became, over time, anonymous investments? That's what this was. In a sense, perfect; in another sense, very lacking.

July 2022 Chatham Stay

What a lovely property in a quiet location, yet handy to all Chatham has to offer. Its also possible to walk to Ridgevale Beach from the house - a bit of a walk, but an enjoyable one! Everything you need for your vacation is available - comfortable furniture and bedding, a great layout, lovely deck with a great table accommodating 8 people and air conditioning if needed ( and of course the requisite washer & dryer). Linens are provided, so no need to bring sheets or towels. We would love to come again! Thank you :) Barbara Diaz
