"Great hotel close to Stansted Airport. On the day of my check-out, I needed to work from there with my laptop, and they kindly allowed me to stay in the bar area for the entire afternoon. I especially appreciated the kindness of the entire staff."

"The hotel is new, conveniently located walking distance to Stratford station. The room was modern, but extremely small and space oddly used (see below bathroom doors). The bathroom is *inside* the bedroom and its door doesn't close shut. If you are sharing the room, and care about privacy (noises, view, etc.), this is not the hotel for you. The door to the shower and the one of the bathroom itself, don't slide, but swing open. Bigger built guests: this room is not for you. The lights have pre-set scenes, with touch controls. They turned on multiple times randomly in the middle of the night. Informed the front desk, it wasn't fixed. On a Saturday morning the fire alarm went off at 8:30 am for 10-15 scary seconds, luckily for no reason. When we left for the day, not a word of apologies from the front desk staff. Most HVAC controls are "centrally controlled". By the end of our stay, only the temperature could be controlled, and then on our last night, we could not even turn the HVAC on anymore - somebody "centrally" turned it off (see pic). We asked "Mission Control" (i.e., the front desk) and the answer was they could not do anything until maintenance could come the next Monday. It was Friday night. Luckily our last, very hot and uncomfortable, night before the end of our stay. Breakfast - self service and definitely not good. You are better off at any cafe in the nearby shopping center. They have washing machines: for trouble free operation, don't use the app."
