Secluded Cotswold Retreat with views

  • Bury Fields Cottage is located down a quiet lane a short walk from picturesque village of Bourton on the Water, known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds'. Surrounded by meadows belonging to the wildlife trust and with far-reaching views of rolling countryside, guests have a selection of walks, sight-seeing, restaurants and pubs all on the doorstop. Well behaved dogs (1 large or 2 medium sized) are welcome. Car parking and outside seating.
    The space
    As well as spacious open plan living room with kitchen/dining/ sitting, we have created an amazing mezzanine gallery with large gable window overlooking the surrounding fields and stunning countryside. Perfect for evening drinks or younger guests to enjoy as a play area / den with bean bags.
    Guest access
    An easy walk into Bourton on the Water to enjoy all it offers. There is storage available for bicycles. To explore the Cotswold villages and other places of interest it is best to drive.

We had a wonderful stay. So restful and our hosts were really lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. The dogs absolutely loved the area. Can’t wait for our next stay.

Lovelycomfortable cottage in the countryside with beautiful views. Ideal for exploring Bourton on the Water and all its attractions. Visited Snowshill Manor (National Trust) which was fascinating.

Great location, a nice, easy walk into town, but still peaceful and quiet. Bed was comfortable, towels were fluffy. It was very hot when we were there but lots of fans were provided. The dryer portion of the washer didn't work well for us, but the nice drying rack worked well.

The hosts Richard & Tishy made us very welcome. The Barn was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfy, we’ve come home and ordered the same pillows as we slept sooo well. Thank you making our stay so lovely. We will be back

Fabulous location, lovely property. Perfect for 2 people to stay in, with loads of dog friendly walks right outside the door. Offering the ideal opportunity to wander into Bourton when the crowds had left/before they arrived. Only thing to highlight is that the yard is also used by the owners - so had to keep an eye on the dogs! Owners could not have been lovelier though.

Fantastic place to stay, fully recommend, 10 minutes walk into Bourton on The Water. Very clean throughout. Great parking, even an electric charge point available. 10 out of 10.

We had an excellent week staying at this property. We were greeted by the property owner and even though we were slightly early the property was clean and ready for us. We enjoyed the quietness and seclusion of the cottage. It was equipped with everything we needed and had a lovely dog walk right on the doorstep. We would highly recommend.

Excellent

From booking to arrival and departure this property surpasses any that we have previously stayed at. Quiet spot with welcoming hosts and the best ever shower. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a super stay, all the home from home comforts provided and a thoughtful welcome gift of cheese, biscuits, milk and a cupboard full of tea and coffee. Great location for walking into the town to enjoy the shops, cafes and pubs. Lots of information provided in the house about local walks and activities.

Great stay in the Cotawold

Great space and location. Hosts had great information for the area. We were just 2 but would be great for two couples. So quiet, right on walking paths to Bourton on the water (less than 10 minutes), and into the country. Would stay there again.

We had a great time. Interesting archeological walk and dairy farm adjacent to property. Great communication and prompt help from owners. Easy walk to town and restaurants/attractions.

Wonderful for families with kids

We had a lovely time staying in this nice modern holiday let situated in the beautiful serene countryside of Bourton on the water. Highly recommend it for families with kids. The games room is great and the farm, village and shops are all within walking distance.

Comfortable well appointed property

Well equipped, comfortable and homely, with everything you might need for a break away. In beautiful countryside with excellent walks straight from the door, whilst only 5 minutes or so walk to the village. We definitely hope to return some time.

Fabulous property with everything you’d possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location of the property was also great as it felt quite secluded but was actually only a 10 minute walk into Bourton centre (a decent torch is recommended though if you’re walking back at night as the lane is not lit). The property owner was lovely to deal with and left us a welcome pack which was very thoughtful.

Great little cottage in perfect location

Bury Fields Cottage is situated in a beautiful quiet rural location but just a short walk from the facilities of Bourton-on-the-Water. The property has quality furnishing and comfortable beds. Great base to explore the amazing Cotswold villages!
