Colazione ottima, sia continentale che all'inglese. Fantastica l'idea dell'acquario nella finestra della sala colazione.”

“A really lovely quiet hotel, there arent many in the area. All very clean, lovely bedroom and superb breakfast with a friendly smile. Checkin was smooth and the lady was really friendly and showed me to my room and also served me a few well poured guinness later that evening. Thank you i will certainly stay again. They didn't serve an evening meal but plenty of options not too far away.”

“Comfortable quiet ”

“Small but very comfortable twin room with ensuite. Loved the big bath sheets. I would have added a second side table and perhaps a chair or luggage stand. Nice lounge/breakfast area, with plenty of fridges to store food/snacks. Comfortable couches and good sized TV. Very close to bus stop and only 10mins to Durham so we were able to just park the cars for the weekend. Hosts were very nice. ”

“Nice clean room, extremely comfy bed. Good communication from owner to gain key. Was even nice of her to have the room ready early as I was meeting someone at the metrocentre. Would definitely recommend and will definitely back for another stay when I'm in the area.”

“Struggled to get into place. Details sent hours before arrival after I chased them up. Couldn’t find key lock cos it was on front door which was in total darkness. Local guy used his key to let me in. No heating working. Freezing cold in room. Lights not working in kitchen nor toilet/bathroom so couldn’t see to pee”

“This was our second stay at the bistro Check in was quick and staff friendly and very helpful Beds are very comfy and I love you can make a cuppa in the morning you can pay for a breakfast in the morning in the bistro which I can say was very nice This is a very nice place to stay & the village is lovely with a good selection of pubs Never disappointed ”

“Very well equipped accommodation. Great base for exploring the area. Beamish museum very close and well worth a visit. Also close enough to visit Newcastle, can get metro so don't have to drive in, Hadrians wall, Derwent water. Lot of places to visit. Good location if doing Great North Run.”
