Inn a Christchurch

“We had a great stay at The Observatory in Christchurch. It’s a beautiful hotel—formerly a university—and they’ve preserved the original aesthetic, which gives it a lot of character. The photos honestly don’t do it justice; it’s even more stunning in person. The room and bathroom were very spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was spotless. The location is also very convenient. Would definitely recommend staying here.”

“Please pay attention to the food and beverage credit from skipping daily housekeeping. It can only be used in the restaurant. I don't mind the credit after all. But It wasted my time trying to use it for drinks by the front desk, for which I was told by two staff members that I can use the credit. When I went for the drink, the third staff member refused to let me use the credit by showing me the smallest fine prints. I have nothing against the third staff member. Just hope the management would...

“Tessa and Peter were wonderful. They picked us up from the airport after our very long overseas flights. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable, especially the bed! 10/10 for comfort. “Very easy place to stay one night before heading off in a hire car to drive around South Island. Only 6 minute drive from the airport. Clear instructions how to get in to our room at night when staff had left. Everything clean and welcoming, private and quiet. Perfect for what we needed after a long day of travel. ”
