The location was great. Right off the highway and close to restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, and of course VT. The outside of the property was clean and looked safe. There was construction going on so we could see the materials for it outside but it was quiet. The front desk staff were so nice and polite. The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke, which was a a turnoff. My room key did not work after 3 tries so they just moved me to a new room. I had other family members checking in the next day and they all had the same issue with their room keys and had to switch rooms.
When entering the room it looked ok. Luckily I travel with cleaning supplies so I brought in my own items to wipe off the countertops and sweep the floors as you could clearly see they were not cleaned well at all. The floors were extremely dirty. Our socks and feet were all black on the bottom from walking around the room. The towels were dirty and had other people's hair on them. I had to ask the front desk multiple times for new towels especially because we were only given 3 total for a 3 night stay, no hand towels or wash cloths. For the price I paid I knew that I was not getting a 5-star hotel but it still could have been better. Again, the front desk staff were amazing.
