“This is a fantastic pub to stay and dine at. 4 nights here with wonderfully comfortable and quiet room. Excellent staff, great evening menu and food. Lovely atmosphere. Amazing walking right from the front door, car did not move for the whole time. The breakfast is the only thing that needs attention… the full English is good quality and well cooked but took 30-40 mins to arrive and on cold plates - easily rectified I hope. “Friendly host, warm and cozy cottage atmosphere out on the country - very private and quiet too. The room was so nicely appointed and we loved the sound of the babbling stream outside. The bathroom was large and bright and had a big bathtub. Everything was so clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order each day. A wonderful spot away from the madding crowds but so close to so many beautiful places. ”

“On arrival it was a bit dark. No lightning to cabins. I think maybe solar lightning or something!! Stepped into cabin it was nice and warm as picked the coldest night of the year so dar to turn up. Host left lights on so we could see inside. Bathroom was great, double bed comfortable nice thick duvet as it was cold. Kitchenette was just the right size for the cabin.
